American ballerina of Croatian extraction (1916-2002), Metropolitan Opera Ballet prima ballerina in 1954, considered the greatest Croatian dancer of all times and one of the most influential artists of her time. Autograph letter signed by him and dated on January 30th, 1882, with his letterhead, in French (sold with a transcription) referring to personal matters. 1 page, 4.5 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Zucca operated a concert hall which featured very famous soloists. Signed photo postcard, dated in 1951, inscribed, 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

A specialist in Wagner´s music, Mottl assisted Richter in preparing the first run of the complete Ring cycle in the first Bayreuth Festival in 1876. Autograph note signed and dated by him in 1906, on a medium size cardboard card with the letterhead from the Royal Theater of Bavaria, in German, sold untranslated. Amazing photograph signed and dated by him in 1902, with a short music quote from his poema sinfonico Mosé, which premiered in Milan just a year earlier under the baton of Toscanini. Size is 6.5 x 8.6 inches, photo by Guigoni & Rossi, Milan. Minor rast marks over the top left corner not affecting the image nor the autograph, otherwise in excellent condition.

Vintage unsigned cabinet photo by Felix, Paris, showing her in the title role in Salome, opera by Antoine Mariotte (not the Salome by Strauss) premiered in 1908. Breval sang with success at the Paris premiere of this opera in 1910. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition

Famous American soprano (1864-1903), admired by Massenet and Saint-Saens. Among other roles, she was the first Thais in the world premiere at the Palais Garnier in Paris in 1894. Sanderson died of influenza at age 38 in Paris. Original vintage cabinet photo by Benque, Paris, unsigned, showing her in the title role she created, dated in the back on March 16th, 1894, Thais world premiere. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, minor rust spots on front and some on verso (see scans), otherwise in excellent condition.

Stunningly beautiful, multiple signed photograph of the US Premiere of "Le Donne Curiose" (The Curious Women), opera by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, on January 3rd, 1912. This was also the world premiere of the opera in Italian language, Arturo Toscanini conducted. Signed by almost the entire cast, Hermann Jadlowker´s name is handwritten under his image. Photo is 9.75 x 7.75 inches, was trimmed on the left and right borders and 2 signatures were partially cut in the process (Pietro Audisio and Angelo Bada), all the rest are complete, photo is in excellent condition. Very rare!

Famous German pianist, composer and teacher (1785-1849), at his peak, Kalkbrenner was considered by many the best pianist in Europe, and a prolific composer. Autograph note, addressed to the Gentlemen Directors of the Philharmonic Society". Letter reads "Mr Kalkbrenner presents his compliments to the Gentlemen Directors, and would feel much obliged to them if they would let him have back the scores of his Symphonia today, as has to look over some of the parts which never were well corrected. He would likewise thank them to let him know who is to be the leader. Sunday morning, 14 South Malton Street. One folded page, 8 x 9.75 inches (when folded), handwritten only on one side (see scans), in excellent condition, rare.

Hungarian pianist and composer (1813-1888), who was also a teacher. Heller was a close acquaintance of many famous romantic composers of his time, such as Berlioz, Chopin and Liszt. Heller created many pieces for the piano. Autograph note signed by him, in one folded sheet, handwritten on both sides, showing blind letterhead with his initial on the first page. See scans. Heller writes to a friend (prob. composer Felix LeCouppey) mentioning he is about to leave for a visit to England, that he has been so busy finishing new compositions that he did not have a single free moment. He asks to give his regards to Mrs. LeCouppey and signs as St. Heller at the end. Size is 8 x 5.25 inches (unfolded size), or 4 x 5.25 inches (folded). Minor rust spots, otherwise very good condition, rare! Also included is a half-tone print with the pianist/composer image, probably from a book or magazine.
