French Algerian soprano (b. 1917), signed photo, shown as herself. Blind stamped by photographer da Silva Freres, Marseille. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Russian composer (1865-1936), conductor and music teacher who had a big impact in Russian music and composers of his time, both as a pedagogue and composer who left a large number of compositions including 8 symphonies. Gorgeous cabinet-style photograph signed by him, shown very young, inscribed in French and dated in 1886 (when he was just 21 years old). A photograph by A. Lorens, St. Petersburg, Russia, size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, minor toning especially on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

American composer (1921-2010), his career focused mostly on opera, the most popular being Lizzie Borden (1965) and Hello Out There (1953). Fine photograph signed by him, dated in New York in 1985. Beeson also writes on the margin "composer of Hello Out There and other works, recorded and unrecorded, greetings". Russian-American conductor (1891-1967), long time conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, later continued his career in Miami, also conducted the Philadelphia Chamber String Orchestra - Sevitzky was the nephew of star conductor Serge Koussevitzky.  Signed photo, shown conducting the Philadelphia Chamber String Orchestra, inscribed and dated in Boston in 1932. Blind stamped on front and also ink-stamped on verso by photographer Kubey-Rembrandt Studios, Philadelphia, 10 x 8 inches in size, in excellent condition.

Blind stamped by photographer Moffett. Size is 7.5 x 9.5 inches, a thin crease runs along the right side of the photograph not affecting the image or text. Otherwise in very good condition.

Austrian soprano (1940-2002), star of the Vienna Volksoper, signed photo, shown as herself, dated in 1975. Stamped on verso by photographer Palfry, Vienna. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American soprano (?), who sang frequently with Luciano Pavarotti at the Metropolitan Opera and Convent Garden, London, as well as at other houses. Beautiful signed large photo, shown as herself. Photo by Christian Steiner. Attractive handwriting and signature. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Rare, complete, with 24 hand-colored lithographs of opera singers and ballet dancers, complete first volume, with descriptions in German. The twenty-four lithographs of performers and their roles are listed in the table of contents, include prominent opera stars, ballet dancers and ballerinas, and actors and actresses.

French composer (1836-1891), famous for his operas. First edition, 106 pages, published by Mme. Cendrier, Paris, 1858.  Monsieur Griffard was Delibes´ first complete opera comique, and was world-premiered in 1857 with French tenor Ernest Leroy in the title role. A fine copy, signed by the composer and inscribed to the creator of the title role “To Monsieur Griffard, with a thousand thanks to the friend Leroy, Leo Delibes, 1858”. Contemporary quarter morocco covers original front wrapper bound in - First edition, extremely rare.

Italian-born American soprano (1909-2014), noted especially for her portrayals of the lyric heroines of Verdi and Puccini, and a leading artist with The Met Opera from 1940 to 1966. Autograph lot of 18 photos, all in role, some signed with just her name, others inscribed to the same person. She is shown in roles in operas such as La Traviata, Manon, La Boheme, Carmen, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana. Each one is 8 x 10 inches or similar size, all in very good condition.
