American theater producer, impresario, director and playwright (1853-1931), the first to adapt the short story of Madama Butterfly for the stage, among many other achievements in his career. Signed photo, shown reading, inscribed and dated in 1928, minor silvering and mounting marks on verso, otherwise in very good condition.
