Star American composer and conductor (1918-1990). Bernstein was the first conductor born and educated in the US to receive world-wide acclaim, and is known for conducting the NY Philharmonic Orchestra for years and some of his compositions (West Side Story, Candide and other pieces).
Set of 2 signed items: signed half-tone photo on card, 7 x 5 inches, and first day cover envelope signed by him (stamp issue commemorating American Music, 5 cents, 1964, for the 50th anniversary of ASCAP - American Society of Composers, Artists and Publishers). Signed envelope is sized 6.5 x 3.5 inches. Both signed items are in great condition.
