Nicaraguan poet (1867-1916), who initiated the Spanish-American literary movement known as Modernism, which flourished at the end of the 19th century. His real name was Felix Ruben Garcia Sarmiento.

First edition of this biography of Pedro Balmaceda (famous Chilean journalist and writer (1868-1889), written by Ruben Dario, published by Imprenta Nacional, San Salvador, 1890 (printed as published in 1890, since publication started in 1889 but was not completed until 1890). Prologue by Salvadorian poet and diplomatic Juan J. Cañas, pages VIII and 216 are 18 x 12 cm, bound in leather with gold (no original covers).
