Polish-born English baritone, pianist, conductor and composer (1850-1934), close friend of composer Johannes Brahms, and a composer himself. Henschel was also the first conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Autograph letter signed, 1 sheet folded into 4 pages, of which 3 are handwritten - each page is 4.5 x 7 inches, in German, dated in 1887 - sold untranslated, excellent condition. Also included is a music quote, dated in Bonn, 1885, inscribed, with 2 bars by I. Moscheles, size s 5.5 x 7.25 inches, in excellent condition.
