American violinist (1892-1918), a prodigious talent who died at age 26 in WWI, yet left some recordings. After his successful debut at Carnegie Hall in 1915, Hochstein had a short but very successful career on tour.
Very rare autograph, large photo also signed by photographer on the mat (probably Isidore York, New York), dated by Hochstein in Rochester, 1912, with a short sentiment.
Size is 9.5 x 14.2 inches, loss of paper on the lower right corner, and minor cracks, otherwise in excellent condition. Very rare.
