Quartet founded in Hungary in 1918, but mostly resident in London, the Lener String Quartet was the first to record a full cycle of Beethoven quartet.

Nice photo signed by all 4 original members of the ensemble: violinists Jeno Lener and Joszef Smilovits, violist Sandor Roth and cellist Imre Hartmann. Size is 7 x 5 inches, inscribed, stamped on verso by photographer Carmen, Buenos Aires - in excellent condition.

ALSO INCLUDED is a playbill announcing a performance of the Lener Quartet at Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1948, part of a cycle of the full Beethoven quartets. Size is 6 x 12.5 inches
