German musician and composer (1819-1896), considered one of the greatest pianists of her time, and wife of the famous composer Robert Schumann. 

Autograph note signed by her, dated in February 1872, apologizing for being unable to respond to an invitation. Matted together with a vintage print of her, note is in English, size is 3.75 x 5.8 inches (visible window size), print is 3 x 4 inches (visible window size), total size is 13.75 x 11 inches, ready to frame.
