Finnish composer (1865-1957), one of the most famous Scandinavian composers whose music played an important role in the formation of the Finnish national identity.
Typed letter, signed by him, dated in 1948 in Jarvenpaaa, Finland, where he spent most of his life. Sibelius politely responds to a request of his manuscripts from an archive. One page, 5.8 x 8.25 inches, some damage repair on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.
ALSO INCLUDED is a portrait of the composer on a modern postcard, and the original typed envelope, both are mounted on hard cardboard, in excellent condition.
