Polish virtuoso violinist (1835-1880) and Polish pianist (1837-1912). Set of two autograph letters, as follows: one letter is written in French (sold untranslated) signed by Henryk, dated in Brussels, March 13th, 1860, about music matters; size is 5.25 x 8.3 inches, 1 sheet, folds, in excellent condition. The second letter is written in German (sold untranslated) signed by Joseph, dated in Brussels, October 6th, 1894; size is 4.8 x 7.9 inches, 1 sheet. Autographs by Henryk Wieniawski are extremely rare! SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Polish virtuoso violinist (1835-1880), one of the greatest violin composers of the 2nd. half of the 19th century.  Rare autograph music quote signed by him with 2 bars with handwritten text about autographs expressing his concern he can be criticized for any possible orthographic mistake. The music quote is an exercise for violin mastering adding a quote saying "1050 times before breakfast and the same number after dinner", showing his sense of humor. Size is 7.4 x 4.5 inches, probably cut from an album page with part of someone's else autograph on the top, minor rust stains on the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned modern sepia photo postcard of the violinist. Size is 3.3 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish violinist and composer (1835-1880), creator of some very popular violin performance pieces, including 2 concertos for violin and orchestra and other works. Rare autograph music quote signed and dated by him in Springfield, Illinois, USA, in 1873, during his famous 1872-73 tour around the United States. Wieniawski writes 2 bars from one of his most famous works, the valse from his "Faust Fantasy" for violin and piano. Size is 5.25 x 2.8 inches, age toning and some mat burning on borders, light fading on ink but still very visible, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a modern photo postcard with the image of the composer, 3.4 x 5.4 inches. Autographs of Henryk Wieniawski are very rare, and this is a truly fantastic piece with a quote from one of his most popular works. Wieniawski announces his recent arrival in Konigsberg, and sends his regards to Kohler. One page, 4.2 x 5.4 inches, in French, sold with a transcription and a translation into English, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an original personal card for both Henryk and Josef Wieniawski, 3.5 x 2.1 inches, in excellent condition.

His personal card, printed "Josph Wieniawski", handwritten by him, in French, sold with a translation, to a Mr Kufferath. Wieniawski is inviting him to attend a private concert with his own music, indicates he would like to repeat this invitation in person. Size is 2.2 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Signed carte-de-visite (or CDV), inscribed, with a short sentiment. A photo by Photographie Americaine, Moscow. Size is 2.3 x 4.1 inches, crease across the center, missing the lower portion of the photo on the front (below the image, where the photographer´s name is normally located), 2 pinholes and minor cracks, but in overall good condition, clearly visible ink, not faded.
