Last king of France (1754-1793) before the French Revolution and the fall of monarchy in 1789. Louis became the King of France in 1774, at age 20, until the monarchy was finally abolished in September 1792. He was guillotined just 4 months later, in January 1793.
Partially printed document with signed by him below, as the King of France, also signed by Armand Marc Comte de Montmorin (1745-1792), just before becoming Secretary of State for the Navy. Montmorin would also perish in the terrible year 1792, in prison. One page, in French, dated Aug 19th, 1797, shortly before the French Revolution. Size is 9.25 x 14.25 inches, some writing on verso in French with signatures and lacquer, untranslated. Minor cracks, folds, small stains, in overall good condition.
