Romanian-born American soprano (1884-1938), one of the most famous performers in the 1910s at the Metropolitan Opera. Nice sepia photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated 1912. Size is 9.1 x 11.75 inches, some creases, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition.

Ukrainian baritone (1925-2016), later became director and General Manager of the Ukrainian National Opera Theatre, as well as a member of the national Parliament.  Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1974. Size is 3.5 x 5 inches, small mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

German baritone (1873-1929), signed cabinet-style photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Size is 3.3 x 5.5 inches, some wear on the edges but in otherwise excellent condition.

German tenor (1856-1901) considered one of the most celebrated singing artists, who achieved success in numerous guest roles on the first stages in Germany. Wonderful cabinet photograph signed by him, shown as himself; photo by Reichard & Lindner. Size is 4.25 x 6.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1882-1952), well known for her specialized performances in Verismo operas.  Large photograph signed and inscribed by him, dated in Naples, 1912.  Photo is mounted on an original mat by photographer Alfredo Pesce, Naples.  Total size is 9.7 x 13.75 inches, actual photo is 6.1 x 8.9 inches, mat has jagged edges, in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1882-1952), well known for her specialized performances in Verismo operas.  Large photograph signed and inscribed by him, shown as Carlo Gerard in Giordano's Andrea Chenier, dated (illegible).  Photo is ovalized and mounted on a mat by photographer A. Coen.  Total size is 10.25 x 14 inches, photo is 6.8 x 9.25 inches, some rust stains, repaired cracks and creases on corners, in overall very good condition.

Famous French soprano (1870-1934), who world premiered operas by Massenet, Leroux and others, and the French premiere of Verdi´s opera "Falstaff". Beautiful, large cabinet photograph signed and inscribed by her, shown in role; a photo by Benque, Paris, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone, whose career developed between 1893 and 1906. Set of 2 small half-tone photographs signed by him, dated in San Francisco, November 1903, plus one short autograph note signed by him in Italian, also dated in San Francisco, October  1903.  Photos are 3.25 x 4.5 inches and 3 x 4 inches, autograph note is 3.9 x 5 inches. Italian baritone, whose career developed between 1893 and 1906. Signed photograph, shown in role (likely as Athanaël in Massenet's Thais), inscribed and dated in Rome in 1907.  Photo size is 6.25 x 8.25 inches, mounted on solid cardboard, total item size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

American coloratura soprano (b.1932) and German bass-baritone (1929-2000).  Beautiful photo postcard signed by both artists, shown in rehearsal.  Size is 5.75 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian soprano (1917-1995), especially known for the Wagnerian repertoire but also celebrated for dramatic Italian roles. Gorgeous photo postcard signed by her as "Gertrude Grob", shown in the title role of Puccini's Tosca; a rare item with a clear signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches with some bending around edges but otherwise in extremely good condition.

Czech soprano (1868-1952), her career focused mostly on operetta, later became a singing teacher. Interesting cabinet photograph signed and inscribed by her, shown in role, dated in 1904.  Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1911-1986) and Austrian mezzo-soprano (1921-2003). Attractive black and white photograph signed by both artists, shown in roles in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte at the Berlin State Opera. Stamped on verso by photographer Ilse Buhs, Berlin. Size is 6.75 x 8.75 inches, small creases on corners, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Italian mezzo-soprano (1871-1948), who participated in the world premiere of Verdi's "Falstaff" and Catalani's "La Wally". Beautiful imperial cabinet photograph of her by G. Ogliari signed and inscribed by the singer with a short sentiment dated in Brescia, October 1896. Size is 6.6 x 9.75 inches, some mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

Bohemian-Austrian soprano (1879-1961), and creator of the title role in Lehar's "The Merry Widow" (1905). Beautiful larger-size black-and-white photograph of the soprano shown as Hannah in Lehar's "The Merry Widow" by photographer Ludwig (Vienna), signed and inscribed by Gunther over the top and dated November 19, 1906, over the bottom.  Size is 4.25 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition

Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Bohemian baritone (1842-1906), who was first a painter and later on a successful singer, famous in his Wagnerian roles. Signed card, attached with a small half-tone photo of him. Size is 5.25 x 4 inches.

Famous German soprano (1874-1935) termed by Mahler as "a musical genius", later in her life became a celebrated pedagogue as well. Set of 1 signed postcard photograph, shown as Eva in Wagner's Die Meistersinger, 3.3 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition, and 1 autograph letter signed, dated in Vienna in 1907, 2 pages, written in German and sold untranslated, size of each page is 5.5 x 7.25 inches, several small creases, otherwise in good condition. Not sold separately. 

American baritone (b.1955), internationally celebrated for both opera and lieder and star Austrian conductor (1929-2016), particularly known for his historically informed performances of music from the Classical era and earlier. Double signed photograph, showing them in discussion, photo is stamped on verso by photographer Schaffler, Salzburg. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

Belgian mezzo-soprano (1867-1942). Signed photo postcard, dated in 1919, shown as La Vougne in Alexander George's opera Miarka, a role she premiered at the Opera Comique in Paris in 1905.  Photo is blind-stamped by photographer Saul Boyer, Paris. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, mounting traces on verso, in excellent condition. Rare!

Belgian soprano (1888-1973), one of France's most celebrated opera singers from the 1910s to the 1930s.  Large portrait signed and inscribed by her in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1912.  The portrait is mounted on a mat of 11.5 x 14.25 inches, color print is 9 x 11.5 inches, creases, pinholes, some dirt on the mat, actual photo in far better condition but with a small cut at the center.

German contralto (b.1932), German mezzo-soprano (1928-2021), German soprano (1919-2013), and Slovak soprano (1939-1993). Quadruple signed photo postcard, shown in Richard Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos at the 1964 Salzburg Festival. Photo by Ellinger, Salzburg. Size is 5.5 x 4 inches, in very good condition.

English tenor (1890-1968) and Australian bass (1883-1945). Double signed photograph, shown in their famous pairing as "Mr. Floatsam and Mr. Jetsam", an Anglo-Australian musical comedy duo quite celebrated in the 1920s and 1930s. Photograph is signed as "Floatsam" and "Jetsam" and not in their real names; stamped on verso by Lewis photographers, London. Size is 6 x 8 inches, slight wear on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Successful cross-over ensemble "Three German tenors" starring German tenors Bernhard Hirtreiter (b.1966), Thomas Kiessling (b.1962), and Hans Hitzeroth (b.1968) performed from 1997 to 2006. Fine black and white studio photograph signed by the three artists. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Czech soprano (1882-?), signed 4.75 x 6 inch photograph mounted on soft cardboard, signature and inscription on bottom of the cardboard, dated in 1926. Stamped on verso by photographer Hermann Bruhlmeyer, Vienna. Total item size is 8 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Signature is at the bottom of the mat and is written as  Wilhelmine Holbe-Schenstrom. Total item size is 6.75 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition. Beautiful black-and-white studio photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated 1972. Size is 5 x 7 inches, ink-writing by a third party over the top, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a short printed note with her autograph signature thanking a fan.
