Program for a performance of Victor Massé's "Paul and Virginia" featuring the American soprano in the 1870s (no specific date mentioned). Size is 6.75 x 10.25 inches, full program with all pages and covers, loose covers, otherwise in very good condition.

Celebrated American soprano (1850-1891). Set of 2 autograph letter signed, one dated in Memphis in 1887, 4 folded pages, the other dated in Gloucester in 1882, which is 2 pages in length. Both are in English, with an attractive gold embossment at the top, size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches, very slight tear on one page of the 1882 letter, otherwise in excellent condition. Also included: very attractive unsigned photograph of her, shown most likely in role, taken by photographer Anderson of Culver Pictures, New York. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, very small rips and tears on far edges of the item but not affecting the image. Not sold separately. 

Set of two original vintage programs for performances of Emma Abbott, no dates, one in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 4 pages, 7.1 x 10.4 inches, in good condition, the second is a libretto program for a performance with pianist, in New York, several pages, 6.8 x 10.1 inches, in fair condition. Sold together, not sold separately.

English character actor (1905-1996), also known as a formidable Shakespearean actor.  Beautiful promo movie still photograph from the film "Get Hep to Love" (1942), signed by him with a short sentiment.  Size is 10.25 x 8 inches, creases, small pinhole, in good condition.

American film, stage, and radio personality (1899-1987), who debuted in films in 1918 with a small part in "Out of a Clear Sky"; active between 1918-1984. Nice black and white photograph signed by him, shown young. Size is 4.8 x 7 inches, minor damage over the lower-right corner, ownership ink stamp on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Canadian conductor (b. 1963), known primarily for opera. Signed photograph, shown young, size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1883-1956), director of the Cologne Conservatory, Lower Rhenish Music Festival, regularly conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, later the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (after being banned in West Germany for his nazi affiliations during WWII). Signed photo, 4 x 5.75 inches, stamped on verso by photographer Harry Evers, Weimar, in excellent condition. Signed text quote "When you know not what to say - do not say you know not what". Dated on December 25th, 1907 in New York, with her signature across. Quote is nicely matted with a cabinet photo of her by Dupont, size is 13.75 x 9.75 inches (total), 4.1 x 5.75 inches (autograph note, visible window size), and 3.75 x 5.75 inches (photo, visible window size), in excellent condition. Rare!

Small collection with 30+ full programs for performances at the Academie Nationale de Musique et de Danse, Paris, period 1920-1938, with most programs being from the early 1930s. Many important artists, see scans of the cast pages, and one cover as example. Most programs are for opera performances, a few for ballet (program is in several pages). Collection includes the program for the world premiere of Alfred Bruneau´s opera "Virginie" (1931). Each program is complete with all pages and covers, most are 5.25 x 7 inches, all in very good condition.

Small-sized silk program for a performance at the Academy of Music, New York, on May 6, 1874, organized by the Lotos Club.  The program includes performances of songs and piano music by different artists such as Ilma di Murska among others. Size is 4.5 x 7.4 inches, with some overall rust, but in good condition.

French tenor (1831-1905), who starred in the 1866 world premiere of Ambroise Thomas's Mignon. Autograph letter signed, written in Paris, dated in 1865. Written in French, sold untranslated. Letter consists of four folded pages, text is on the first three. Size when fully opened up is 10.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Vintage print by Flemish engraver Anthony Cardon (1772–1813). Cardon engraved in chalk or stipple and made his career in England where he became noted for his illustrations in books.  Vintage print by him, published in London, 1804, showing dancers André-Jean-Jacques Deshayes (1777-1846) and James Harvey D'Egville (1770?-1836) en the ballet-pantomime "Achille et Deidamie", a tragedie en musique composed by Andre Campra. Large size, 14.9 x 19.5 inches (or 37.5 x 49.5 cm), minor scratches and a crack, all hard to see, overall age toning, but the colors and condition are very good. An excellent piece to frame and display, now over 200 years old, rare.
