Irish actor (1903-1973) on stage, film, and TV; a founding member of both the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. Black-and-white photograph signed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 3.3 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian stage and silent film actress (1874-1980), mostly active between 1930 and 1955; and grand-mother of actress Romy Schneider.  Large matted photo, signed, inscribed and dated by her in Vienna, 1926.  Also signed in pencil by photographer Kleff, Breslau.  Size is 9.75 x 14.1 inches (actual photo is 6.8 x 8.9 inches), in excellent condition. English actor (1858-1918). Beautiful colorized photo postcard signed by him, shown as Francois Villon. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, minor silvering on edges, some rust on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

American stage actress (1867-1948), mostly known for her performances in Shakespearean roles, Broadway shows, and appeared in four silent films. Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her, dated in 1908; blind-stamped on front by photographer Bangs, New York.  Size is 4.3 x 6.5 inches, silvering on borders, crease over the upper-left corner, in overall very good condition.

American theater actress (1859-1940). Beautiful black and white photo postcard signed as "Mary Anderson de Navarro" by her, shown as herself. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

English actress (b.1935), singer and author, with a career spanning nearly eight decades, and recipient of several accolades; active since 1945. Wonderful poster for the famous musical "Victor and Victoria", which premiered on Broadway, New York, in 1995 and was based on the famous 1983 movie (and the 1933 German musical comedy). Read more about this musical HERE. Signed by Julie Andrews over her chest, plus many signatures from the cast. We counted 35 signatures. Size is 14 x 22 inches, poster has some damage on verso and minor wear on front, with some water stain over the lower right corner. In overall very good condition, will look great if framed.

German stage and film actor (1861-1942), deported to Theresienstadt and then to Treblinka, killed in 1942.  Set of 5 photo postcards signed by the actor and handwritten by him, various dates.  Each photo's size is about  3.5 x 5.5 inches, conditions range from very good to excellent. French actress (1802-1871). Autograph letter in French signed by her, no date addressed to a certain Monsieur Sauvage, concerning an upcoming meeting. Size is 5 x 8 inches, 1 written page, overall rust tone, folds, in overall very good condition.

American stage actor (1838-1891). Autograph note signed by him, no date, about sending a check to buy tickets.  Size is 6.8 x 8.75 inches, folds, mounting traces on the front, otherwise in very good condition.

French stage actress (1854-1941). Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed by her, shown next to Sarah Bernhardt in the play La Nuit de Mai. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, silvering, in very good condition.

American contralto (1860-1905), who was also a very famous actress in her time as well. Extra-large beautiful photograph signed by her with a short sentiment, shown in role, dated in 1891; an original photograph by Max Platz, Chicago. Size is 14 x 17 inches, minor stains over the lower corners and over the top, otherwise in excellent condition.

American theater producer, impresario, director and playwright (1853-1931), the first to adapt the short story of Madama Butterfly for the stage, among many other achievements in his career. Signed photo, shown reading, inscribed and dated in 1928, minor silvering and mounting marks on verso, otherwise in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a luxurious program for a performance of his play "The Merchant of Venice", presented by him in New York, 1922. Size is 9.5 x 12 inches and 0.75 inches thick, 174 pages with many photo illustrations, in very good condition. See scan of title page.

American popular vaudeville entertainer (1849-1917), signed cabinet-style photo by Obermuller v. Kern, New York. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, jagged borders, smudge on ink, in very good condition.

British actress of stage and film (1864-1946). Beautiful colorized photo postcard signed by her, shown in role. Size is 3.4 x 5.5 inches, scattered silvering over the photograph, in excellent condition.

Fascinating set of vintage items associated with the star French stage actress (1844-1923) who starred in some of the most popular French plays of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These historically unique items include one 4.25 x 6.5 inch vintage cabinet photograph of her, shown in role, a photo by W & D. Downey photographers, Newcastle on Tyne, along with a payment receipt from the London & County Banking Company, dated in 1894, a 1881 unsigned playbill from the Carltheater in Vienna (7.25 x 9.25 inches on solid cardboard), an 5.75 x 8.5 inch autograph letter signed from her son Maurice, dated in Paris in 1935 (written in French and sold untranslated) on the stationary of the Theatre Sarah Bernhardt (some holes in the paper but not affecting text and signature), and an unsigned 3.5 x 5.5 inch postcard half-tone photograph by Reutlinger, Paris, shown as herself. In mostly very good condition, not sold separately.

Slovakian soprano (1874-1956). Nice card signed by her with a short greeting. Open size is 8.4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

French actor (1799-1863), whose real name was Pierre-Martinien Tousez.Set of 2 autograph letters in French signed by him; one of them dated 1861 where he offers some professional advice, and the other (not shown) about a personal dispute. Size is 5.2 x 8 inches, sold without translation, creases, in very good condition.

French actress (1874-1945). Black-and-white photo postcard signed by her. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, in very good condition.

American stage actor and theatrical manager (1833-1893) who toured throughout the United States and the major capitals of Europe, performing Shakespearean plays. Album page signed by him at the Steam Gallia on July 8, 1880. Size is 4.5 x 3.75 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED are two programs for performances of The Merchant of Venice and King Lear on December 20 and 21, 1881, featuring Booth in the respective title roles. Size is 9.9 x 12.9 inches each, 4-pages long each, rust and dirt stains, some cracks, in fair condition.

French stage actress.  Beautiful black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown during a curtain call.  Size is 3.6 x 5.5 inches, minor damage over the upper-right corner, in very good condition.

French actor (1837-1920), and creator of a large number of roles in plays by Labiche and operettas by Offenbach. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated May 3, 1876, addressed to the dramatist William Busnach (1832-1907): “….Selon la promesse que vous m’avez faite, je viens vous demander l’autorisation de jouer ‘Mon mari est à Versaille’ dans tous les départements…”. Size is 4.2 x 5.4 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), letterhead from "Théatre des Variétés", folds, creases, rust stains, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a caricature portrait drawn by Grandval depicting Baron.  Size is 7 x 9 inches, in excellent condition.

Beautiful collection of 19 photographs signed by various Broadway performers and artists from the 1920s and 1940s including Berinoff and Eulalie, Bonnie, Helen Gilligan, Joyce, Lillian Messmer, Lora Mae, Ray, Renee and Ravelle, Sheila Barrett, Wesley Boynton, The Debonairs, Una Merkel, and others. Revue musical premiered in 1975, written by Loften Mitchell based on a concept by Rosetta LeNoire and featuring the music of numerous African-American artists who were popular during the Harlem Renaissance (1920-1940). Program for a performance of the musical (no exact date or location disclosed) signed on the front cover by 4 members of the cast, including Myles Savage, Honi Coles, Lon Satton, plus one unidentified signer.  Size is 8.25 x 11.7 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in very goo condition.

Program for a performance of Victor Hugo's play "Marie Tudor" at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, on October 9, 1957, by Theatre National de France on tour in Argentina, signed by Maria Casares, Jean-Francois Remi (1924-2007), and Monique Chaumette (b.1927). Size is 6 x 8.75 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.
