American pianist (1893-1962) whose real name was Lewis John Fuiks, best known as the piano duo partner of and co-orchestra leader with Phil Ohman from 1922 to 1932. Album page signed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 3.75 x 5.75 inches, storage holes, in excellent condition.

Italian composer, violinist and conductor (1822-1903), he created several operas and songs. Fine signed cabinet-style photo, by Robinson & Roe, Chicago, inscribed and dated in 1894, London. Arditi signes twice on the front and the back and writes a short music quote, 5 bars of his opera “Il Bacio”, signed and dated in London 1894. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, front in excellent condition, verso has water stains.

French actor (b.1944), active since 1967. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him.  Size is 6.1 x 9.3 inches, minor creases, otherwise in very good condition.

String quartet founded in 1974 and led by the British violinist Irvine Arditte.   Larger size color photo signed by all four members, shown in performance.  Size is 12 x 8.25 inches, in very good condition.

American music critic and writer (1935-2001), famous for his work as music critic and his 4 books about soprano Maria Callas.  Signed book "Maria Callas - The Art and the Life", inscribed and signed in the first title page by Ardoin, dated in 1980. Written in collaboration with Gerald Fitzgerald, published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston, first edition, 1974. Book with many black and white illustrations and text. A total of 282 numbered pages, hardcovers, dust jacket, 9.25 x 12.25 inches, dust jacket has some cracks and minor folds, book itself is in excellent condition.

Colorful flyer promoting the 1939 Arena di Verona Festival and announcing the performance of Verdi's "Nabucco", Puccini's "La Bohème", Donizetti's "La Favorita" and Wagner's "Tannhäuser",  from July 24 until August 15. Size is 3 x 3 inches, rhomboid-shaped, in excellent condition.

Group of 20 unsigned photos depicting singers in role, from the Arena di Verona opera in Italy, from the 1950s to the 1980s.  Most 7 x 9 inches, several noteworthy artists including Giulietta Simionato, Renato Bruson, and Piero Cappucilli, all in very good condition. Sold only as lot. 

Lot of 29 beautiful unsigned photographs from opera productions at Arena di Verona during the 1960s. Productions include operas such as Aida (1968 & 1963), Norma (1965), La Traviata (1965), Don Carlo, Lucia di Lammermoor (1968), Il Trovatore (1968), Aida (1968) La Forza del Destino (1967), Turandot (1969), Lohengrin (1963), and others.  Most of them are in black and white (only 2 are in color) and stamped on verso by the photographer.
