Wonderful book issued for the season 1939-40 by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of New York, signed by conductor Sir John Barbirolli and all members, each one in their corresponding portrait page.  Book has drawings of each musician by artist Barnard Lintott (1875-1951), who signed and inscribed this book on the first pages, and well over 100 signatures of musicians in the orchestra, every single one of them, plus conductors John Barbirolli´s. Given to a friend by Barbirolli, this is a truly unique piece of memorabilia. ALSO INCLUDED is a children´s book about music, given by Barbirolli to his friend´s daughter, inscribed by him, and a typed letter signed by him and his wife.

Gorgeous larger size color Cibachrome* print signed and dated by the star conductor and pianist in 1980, shown in rehearsal in Philadelphia that same year; also signed on verso by photographer Allen Winigrad.  Size is 14 x 11 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. *Cibachrome prints are high-quality prints from color transparency enlarged onto reversal color paper. This paper already has the emulsion incorporated and gives exceptional color brilliance.
