American theater producer, impresario, director and playwright (1853-1931), the first to adapt the short story of Madama Butterfly for the stage, among many other achievements in his career.

Signed photo, shown reading, inscribed and dated in 1928, minor silvering and mounting marks on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

ALSO INCLUDED is a luxurious program for a performance of his play "The Merchant of Venice", presented by him in New York, 1922. Size is 9.5 x 12 inches and 0.75 inches thick, 174 pages with many photo illustrations, in very good condition. See scan of title page.

Returns & Exchanges

Unsatisfactory items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for your choice of a store credit or a full refund. In order to qualify for a refund, items must first be returned in the exact same condition they were shipped. By default we ship via USPS, and provide the option to ship via FedEx or UPS. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable for any items that were already shipped, either returned or not. At our discretion, a restocking and relisting fee of up to USD 40 could be applied for some returned items, although this is very rarely applied.
