American poet (1928-2014) and also civil rights activist. Beautiful black-and-white promo photograph signed and inscribed by her.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

French politician (1884-1966) who served as President of France between 1947-1954. Fine photo postcard mounted on larger hard cardboard signed by Mr. Auriol on the cardboard.  Total size is 4.5 x 6.9 inches, minor stains, pinholes over the top border, otherwise in excellent condition.

English politician (1848-1930) and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and also later Secretary of Foreign Affairs who issued the Balfour Declaration in 1917, allowing Jews to establish in Israel.  Autograph letter signed by him, dated in 1926, with his address as letterhead.  Size is 6.4 x 8.5 inches, 1 page, central fold, minor stains, in very good condition.

Former first lady of the United States (1925-2018) from 1989 to 1993 as the wife of President George H.W. Bush. Fine color photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed letter signed by her with the letterhead of the The White House.

French politician, mathematician, and physicist (1753-1823), known as the Organizer of Victory in the French revolutionary wars, Minister of War in 1800. Document written by another hand and signed by Lazare Carnot as "Carnot" while Minister of War in 1800. Each page is 8.5 x 13 inches, 3 pages, folds, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a second document with Carnot's signature stamped on page 2, also dated in 1800. Each page's size is 7.1 x 9.5 inches, folds, in excellent condition. Grandson of Louis XIV of France and his mistress Madame de Montespan, known from birth as the Duke of Penthièvre (1725-1793). Document signed by the duc of Penthièvre, dated “Paris le 14 Fevrier 1738”. The Duc, who succeeded the Count of Toulouse (d. 1737) when just 12 years old, certifies that  "... François Léon Hirt was in the house [of my father].. for fourteen years as master of his music, and that he has fulfilled its duties with applause and to the satisfaction of his master..." etc. Interesting document for the history of music in France in the century of Bach and Mozart. Nice seal at the bottom of the page. Size is 8.2 x 12.7 inches, 1 page, folds, smudges, creases, in good condition (see scan provided).

French cardinal (1768-1851). Autograph letter handwritten in French by another hand (sold untranslated) signed by De la Tour, dated in 1842.  Size is 8.25 x 10.6 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a printed invitation to a funeral, dated 1842. Size is 8.1 x 10.5 inches, folds, in excellent condition.

Belgian Countess (1873-1937) whose full name was Geneviève de Liedekerke de Pailhe. Beautiful signed cabinet photograph with bold handwriting and signature. Photo by Fabronius, Brussels. Size is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, slight paper loss on top left and other corners not affecting image and signature, attractive vintage item in very good condition.

American politician (1890-1969) was the Assistant and then United States Secretary of the Navy, and also served as the 42nd Governor of New Jersey, commonly known as "Lord Edison", he was a son of the famous inventor Thomas Edison.  Signed photograph, inscribed, bold handwriting and signature. Size is 8 x 10 inches, some light silvering to dark portions and a few surface marks, otherwise in excellent condition. 

American politician (1913-2006) who served as the 38th president of the United States from 1974 to 1977. Sports Illustrated magazine issued on July 8th, 1974, signed by him on the front cover. Size is 8.25 x 10.8 inches, full magazine with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.

Senior British Army Officer (1852-1925). A small card inserted into a larger card signed by him and dated January 25, 1903.  Size is 5.7 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photo postcard of him.

Indian politician (1917-1984) and only female Prime Minister of India, who was assassinated in 1984. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by her, dated in 1980; ink-stamped on verso by Worldwide Photos; sticker on verso indicates picture was taken on January 1966.  Size is 7 x 9.1 inches, in excellent condition.

French socialité (1876-?), one of the courtesans who had the most influence on the Press and politics of her time.  Autograph letter in French signed twice by her, dated July 19, 1877, was sent to a lady about her father's funeral. Size is 5.1 x 8 inches, three written pages in one folded sheet, some loss of paper in page 3. ALSO INCLUDED is a short note addressed to a certain Mr. Le Ferrièrre, saying "so, I'm counting on you tomorrow, Tuesday"

American first lady (1860-1924) during the period 1921-1923 and wife of President Warren G. Harding.    Beautiful postcard depicting The White House signed by her with a short sentiment, mounted on hard cardboard.  Size is 6.5 x 4 inches, small dots of rust, mat burn over the right border, otherwise in excellent condition.

American politician and attorney (b.1964), and 49th incumbent vice president of the United States under President Joe Biden. Nice color photograph signed by her, shown at a speech. Size is 10.8 x 8.4 inches, in excellent condition.

British politician (1916-2005) who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1970 to 1974.  Rawlings Official Major League baseball signed by him. The approximate diameter is 3.25 inches.  ALSO INCLUDES a Certificate of Authenticity on a small card.

American lawyer and politician (1932-2009), and former senator for Massachusetts.  Front cover from a magazine signed by him (not full magazine) trimmed over the top and left borders.  Size is 8 x 10.25 inches, in excellent condition.

American politician (1932-2009) -born Edward Moore Kennedy, United States Senator from Massachusetts for 47 years and brother of the former US President John F. Kennedy. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown young. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

British Army officer (1850-1916) and colonial administrator, who rose to prominence for his imperial campaigns. Typed card signed by him matted with a half-tone photograph of him shown young. Total size is 8.8 x 13.9 inches, card is 3.4 x 2 inches (visible window size), photo is 4.3 x 6.3 inches, all in very good condition. Ready to frame if desired!

Hungarian politician and civil engineer (1841-1914), autograph note signed, written in Budapest, dated in 1914. Written in Hungarian, sold untranslated. Size is 4.3 x 2.76 inches, some silvering on edges not affecting the text and signature. Otherwise in very good condition.

English politician and military officer (1754-1826), whose real name was Frances Rawdon-Hastings. Clip from the bottom of a letter or document with Moira's signature. Size is 7 x 2.25 inches, in very good condition.

Filipino politician and dictator (1917-1989), and 10th president of Filipinas between 1965-1986. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated in 1971, shown young. Size is 3.6 x 5.2 inches, some creases, in overall very good condition.

American politician (1936-2018) who served as senator from Arizona from 1987 until his death in 2018 and was a nominee for president of the USA during the 2008 election. Beautiful color photograph signed by him, shown giving a speech. Size is 11 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine statesman (1821-1906), writer, and president of Argentina between 1862 and 1868.  Signed postcard attached with a half-tone photograph of him, mounted on an album page where Mitre writes a short text quote translated as "years go by like shadows", signed below with his full name, dated in Buenos Aires, 1905.  There is an unidentified signature on verso as well.  Total size is 7.5 x 4.75 inches. some age-toning, in overall very good condition.

British Royal Navy officer and statesman (1900-1979), Supreme Allied Commander in south-east Asia during World War II, last viceroy of India before independence and the first Governor-General of independent India (1947-1949). Autograph note signed as LMB, dated in 1976, greeting someone for Christmas and sending a gift, one page, 6 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

Israeli politician (1921-2015) and 5th president of Israel (1978-1983). Great color photograph signed by him. Size is 5.5 x 7.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French politician (1803-1857), and also a musicologist and composer. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him and dated in Paris, 1843. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches each page, 3 written pages in one folded sheet, in excellent condition.  ALSO INCLUDED is a 1-page letter in French dictated by him, written by her secretary.

Swedish politician and statesman (1927-1986) who served as Prime Minister of Sweden and fell assassinated in 1986.  First day cover for the issue of a 1962 stamp celebrating the life of the Swedish politician Dag Hammarskjöld who served as U.N. Secretary-General, signed by Olaf Palme with a short sentiment.  Size is 6.5 x 3.6 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a small unsigned photograph of Olaf Palme shown young.  Size is 3.3 x 5 inches, in excellent condition.

American film actress (1921-2016) and First Lady of the United States from 1981 to 1989; she was the second wife of President Ronald Reagan. Time magazine cover from January 14th, 1985, signed and inscribed by her. Size is 8 x 10.8 inches, only cover (not full magazine), in excellent condition.

French politician (1831-1913), writer, journalist and politician, founder of the of the newspaper “L’Intransigeant” in 1880. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated 1908, to the French writer Jeanne Loiseau-Lapauze, wife to the art critic Henry: "... I have no news of the famous portrait, but I suppose it is installed in your little Palace. Judging by your charming verses, I guess your loan is at least as attractive as that of Fontainebleau...". Open size is 9.6 x 6.6 inches, two written pages in a folded sheet, overall rust stains, folds, otherwise in very good condition.

American political figure (1884-1962) who served as the First Lady of the USA from 1933 to 1945, during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms in office.  Typed letter with her home letterhead, signed by her, dated June 25th, 1947, about a book she received as a gift.  Size is 5.1 x 6.5 inches, 1 page, storage holes over the upper border, central fold, in excellent condition.

Egyptian politician (1918-1981) and third president of Egypt between 1970 until his assassination in 1981. Signed half-tone photo in the center of the Time Magazine page shown walking next to Egyptian politician Osma Ahmed Osman in 1978. Size is 8 x 10.75 inches, center fold, in very good condition.

German politician (1918-2005) and former chancellor of West Germany between 1974-1982. Time magazine front cover signed by the politician, featuring an interview with him, issued on June 11th, 1979 (not full magazine - cover only).  Size is 8.1 x 10.8 inches, label residues over the lower-left corner, some wear, otherwise in very good condition.

American politician (1854-1932) and part of the Democratic party from 1890-1920, serving as minority leader of the U.S. House of Representatives between 1903-1908. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him with a very long sentiment; blind-stamped on the front by photographer Harris & Ewing, Washington, D.C.  Size is 7.25 x 9.6 inches, some cracks on borders, in overall very goo condition.

British naval intelligence officer (1764-1840). His signature cut (probably the bottom of a letter or document) mounted on a larger piece of paper. Size is 8.1 x 1.75 inches, in very good condition.

Fine color photograph signed by him, ink-stamped on verso by photographer M. Wenzel-Jelinek, Vienna. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

American lawyer and politician (1782-1852) who represented New Hampshire and Massachusetts as a Congressman. A receipt signed by him, size is 9 x 6 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a photograph of his portrait (size is 6.5 x 8.5 inches), plus a certificate of authenticity by the American Museum of Historical Documents, and a plaque with his name and dates.
