Famous Italian conductor and composer (1858-1941), very active conducting opera between 1890 and 1920 in both Europe and South America. Mugnone conducted the world premiere of Tosca (Puccini), Mese Mariano (Giordano) and others, plus many Italian premieres of operas.

Signed wooden baton, dated in Buenos Aires in 1910, where he conducted at the Teatro de la Opera. Baton is 17 inches long, approx. 0.5 inches thick on one end and narrows to just 0.2 inches in the other end. In excellent condition, signature is faint but visible, date is more clear.

ALSO INCLUDED is a very nice note handwritten and signed by Mugnone (Item # M3127-R5-9), with indications for the chorus master on the score for the opera Ugonotti (Italian version of Les Huguenots by Meyerbeer). Two pages, with signature at the bottom of the 2nd page, in Italian, sold untranslated. Mugnone points 19 cuts in the score to the chorus master. Size is 8 x 10 inches, has folds, otherwise in excellent condition. See scans.

Returns & Exchanges

Unsatisfactory items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for your choice of a store credit or a full refund. In order to qualify for a refund, items must first be returned in the exact same condition they were shipped. By default we ship via USPS, and provide the option to ship via FedEx or UPS. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable for any items that were already shipped, either returned or not. At our discretion, a restocking and relisting fee of up to USD 40 could be applied for some returned items, although this is very rarely applied.
