Quite a unique souvenir of the old Metropolitan Opera building in New York, which was inaugurated in 1883 and demolished in 1967 after the opera company moved out in 1966.

Piece of the curtain with fringes, mounted on blue velvet and encased in acrylic, ready to hang if desired. Total case size is 6.5 x 18.5 inches, with a thickness of 1.8 inches. Minor scratches on acrylic, in overall very good condition.
