Rare pictures of the first version of the legendary Preetorius stage decors which were used only in 1933, the second version was presented between 1934 - 1939. These are the probably the only prints made or still surviving. All photographs 9 x 13 cm, mounted on cardboard 20 x 35 cm, with handwritten details in pencil about the performance and (musical) quotations corresponding to what is show in the picture. Rare photographic documentation of the Bayreuth Festival at the beginning of Nazi-period in Germany. In very good condition.
