Austrian composer (1860-1945) of Czech ascent, mainly remembered for the overture to his opera Donna Diana, composed in 1894. Reznicek created a dozen operas, 5 symphonies, chamber music and other music works.
Typed letter signed by him, dated in Berlin in 1940, to Wilhelm Rode, then General Director of the Deusches Opernhaus. Reznicek simply thanks Rode for his congratulations on his 80th birthday. One page, with nazi salutation and his signature at the bottom, has folds, size is 8.25 x 11.5 inches. In excellent condition.
Also included is an unsigned photo postcard of the composer, 3.5 x 5.25 inches, minor silvering at the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.
