All Newest Opera Autographs

Photograph of many leading opera performers associated with the Sadler's Wells theatre in the mid-twentieth century containing many of their signatures on verso.  The prominent artists with signatures include English conductor and record producer Lawrence A. Collingwood, as well as soprano Joan Cross, mezzo-soprano Edith Coates, and tenor Powell Lloyd. Size is 6.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. Rare!

American tenor (b. 1943), signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, crease on bottom right, otherwise in very good condition. 

American character tenor, signed photograph, shown as the Prince in Alban Berg's Lulu, at the Santa Fe Opera in 1963, inscribed in New York, dated in 1965. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

American mezzo-soprano (1888-?). Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment in 1923. Size is 5 x 6.8 inches, in excellent condition.

French tenor. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown as Arnold in Rossini's opera Guillaume Tell; blind-stamped on the front by M. Eck (Argel). Size is 5 x 6.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American baritone (1935-1991), signed photograph, shown as himself. Printed signature on front of photographer Louis Melancon, Metropolitan Opera, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition. 

German tenor (1935-2019) and conductor, celebrated in both opera and lieder.  Set of 1 4 x 5.7 inch signed photograph, shown as Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflote and 1 signed and inscribed 8 x 11 inch cast page of a 1969 Metropolitan Opera performance of Mozart's Don Giovanni, both in excellent condition. Not sold separately.

Superstar German tenor (b.1969) and Albanian soprano (b. 1963), double signed photograph, shown in performance in a scene from Gounod's Faust at the Vienna State Opera. Size is 8 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.  

Star Russian soprano (b. 1971) and French tenor (b.1963), double signed photograph, shown in the title roles of Gounod's Romeo et Juliette at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, likely at curtain call. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

German baritone (1863-1947). Fine sepia photo postcard signed by him, shown as himself. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, ink-markings on verso, in very good condition.

German tenor (1954-2025) and Austrian soprano (b.1963), double signed photograph shown in roles in D'Albert's Tiefland. Size is 8 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1937-2009) and German baritone (b. 1938), known particularly for Wagnerian and Richard Strauss repertoire. Double signed photograph, shown as Salome and Jochanahan, respectively, in Richard Strauss's Salome. Stamped on verso by photographer Winfried Rabanus. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (b. 1970), signed photograph, shown in the title role of Verdi's Falstaff, his most frequently performed and celebrated role. Size is 8 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Albanian soprano (b.1974), signed photograph, shown in the title role of Puccini's Suor Angelica. Size is 8 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.

English mezzo-soprano (b. 1963), signed photograph, shown in role in Mozart's Clemenza di Tito at the Metropolitan Opera. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

French baritone (b. 1968), signed photograph, shown as Marcello in Puccini's La Boheme at the Metropolitan Opera. Size is 8 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.

English baritone (1891-1961), signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed , dated in 1924. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases, otherwise in excellent condition

French soprano (1913-?), signed photograph, shown as herself, dated in 1948. Inscribed.  Photo size is 4.75 x 6.5 inches, mounted on soft cardboard, total item is 7.5 x 10 inches, some creases on cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Danish tenor (1894-1961), particularly associated with the Royal Opera in Copenhagen from 1926 to 1956. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed with sentiment, dated in 1952. This is a 4.75 x 6.5 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard (signature and inscription are on the photo itself), total item size is 6.75 x 9.5 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition. 

Swedish baritone (1876-1950), signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed with sentiment, dated in 1943.  This is a 4.5 x 7 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard with handwriting near the bottom of the cardboard. Total item size is 7.5 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Swedish tenor (1879-1951), signed photograph, shown as Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen, inscribed. 4.5 x 6 inch photo is mounted on soft cardboard, total size is 6.75 x 9.5 inches, attractive vintage item, in excellent condition. 

Swedish tenor (1901-1979), father of Swedish soprano Catarina Ligendza. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1942. Photo size is 4.25 x 5.75 inches, mounted on soft cardboard, total item is 6.5 x 8.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Swedish mezzo-soprano (1897-1991), signed photograph, shown in role (possibly Gluck's Orfeo), inscribed with sentiment, dated in 1942. 4.5 x 6.25 inch photo is mounted on soft cardboard, total item size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Swedish soprano (1901-1976), mother of Swedish soprano Catarina Ligendza. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed and dated in 1942 4.25 x 5.75 inch photo is mounted on soft cardboard, with signature directly underneath the photo, total item size is 6.5 x 9 inches, in excellent condition.   

American soprano (1929-2021), who had an active career during the 1950s and 1960s including at the Metropolitan Opera. Signed photograph, shown as Yniold in Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande. Stamped on verso by photographer Louis Melancon, Metropolitan Opera, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

American mezzo (? - 1967), signed photograph, shown as herself, dated in 1960. Stamped on verso by Bruno of Hollywood and New York City photo studio. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.  

American mezzo-soprano (1918-2011), signed photograph, shown as Mercedes in Bizet's Carmen. Bold handwriting and signature. Stamped on verso by photographer Frank Lerner, Metropolitan Opera, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition.

American mezzo-soprano (1928-2005), who had an active career in concerts and operas from the early 1950s to the early 1980s, particularly associated with the New York City Opera.  Signed photograph, shown as herself, young. Printed signature on front of photographer Jayson Fields, Atlanta. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition. 

Italian tenor (1898-1974). Nice black-and-white photo postcard signed by him. Size is 3.3 x 5.25 inches, some silvering around borders, in very good condition.

Polish soprano (1884-1957). Color photo postcard signed by her in Prague, 1916, shown probably in role. Size is 3.7 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

American operatic soprano and dancer (1906-1987), particularly noted for her performances of "The Star-Spangled Banner", the national anthem of the United States, which she performed for Presidents and at sporting and military events. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed with sentiment. Printed signature on front of photographer Ray Lee Jackson, New York. Size is 7.75 x 9.75 inches, small creases on edges and stain on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

American comprimario tenor (1917-2011),  had a very long association with the Metropolitan Opera where he performed nearly 2000 times from 1948 to 1987. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer Sedge LeBlang, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.
