Japanese soprano (b. 1936), signed postcard photograph, shown in title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, dated in 1966 in Lyons. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

English soprano (1880-1955), signed postcard photograph, shown as herself.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight silvering, but otherwise in very good condition. 

Swedish soprano (1861-1943), signed postcard photograph, shown as herself, dated in 1932. Signed on front with additional inscription on verso. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor, songwriter, and record producer (b.1958).  Signed photograph, shown as himself.  Photo by Sarah Wong. Size is 4 x 6 inches, some tape residue on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

Dutch baritone (1912-1971), signed photograph, shown in role, dated in 1953, Vienna, inscribed. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Chilean tenor (b. 1965), signed photograph, shown as himself. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian bass-baritone (1917-1992), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself. Stamped on verso by Fayer photography studio, Vienna. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Chilean tenor, signed photograph,shown in role in Mascagni's L'Amico Fritz, inscribed and dated in 1933. Size is 5.25 x 7.25 inches, mounting traces on verso and some missing paper at bottom, otherwise in good condition.

Canadian tenor (b. 1953), signed photograph, shown as Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor (1895-1984), known for both bel canto and later dramatic tenor repertoire, was active in Italy from 1924-1950, also made guest appearances in Warsaw, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, inscribed, dated in the 1930s (possibly 1934). Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Colombian tenor (b. 1964).  Signed photograph, shown as Il Conte d'Almaviva in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

Belgian tenor (1895-1962).  Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in New York in 1936.  Hand signed on front by photographer Wilens.  Size is 6.75 x 9 inches, very slight silvering near photographer signature, otherwise in excellent condition.  

Stage name of Carlo M. Michelangelo Nicola Broschi (1705-1782), probably the most celebrated Italian castrato singer of the 18th Century and considered one of the greatest singers in opera history. Exceedingly rare legal document, related to the building of a house for him in Madrid, where he lived for over 20 years. The year of 1749 is printed at the top. Document is written by another hand, and signed at the bottom by Farinelli in full name, in a somewhat darker ink. One page of hand-laid paper, 7.9 x 8.4 inches, central fold, spotted rust stains, otherwise in excellent condition. Autographs of Farinelli as extremely rare and only show up in the market every few years, this one is important and also has a very clear signature. ALSO INCLUDED is a nice vintage print with his image, a lithograph by Richard Bentley, London. Size is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, some stains on borders and small paper loss on the bottom right corner, otherwise in very good condition.

Star Spanish tenor (1927-1999) and Hungarian soprano. Double signed photograph, shown in Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann, dated in Vienna in 1988. Stamped on verso by photographer Palfyy, Vienna. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition. 

Star Italian tenor (1892-1979), one of the greatest voices of the first half of the 20th century.  Signed contract for the 1929-30 season at La Scala, Milan, typed on 4 pages, signed by Lauri-Volpi on the last page, discussing his singing both Verdi's Il Trovatore and Rossini's William Tell during that season. Very rare historic item! 4 folded pages of 8.25 x 12 inches each, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photograph, shown as Calaf in Puccini's Turandot, photograph by Mishkin, New York, size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Star Italian tenor (1892-1979), one of the greatest voices of the first half of the 20th century.  Signed photograph, shown as Radames in Verdi's Aida, inscribed in Rome. Size is 3.75 x 5.75 inches, long jagged line on the left side of photo, not affecting the visibility of the writing or image, and outside area of signature. ALSO INCLUDED: 2 Autograph letters signed, one written in 1973, the other in 1974, composed in Italian, sold untranslated. Each letter takes up both sides of a 4.25 x 6.25 inch card, very small stain on the 1974 letter (not affecting any text or signature), otherwise both are in excellent condition. American tenor (b. 1954), signed photograph, shown as Arnold in Rossini's Guillaume Tell. Size is 4.75 x 7 inches, in very good condition.

American tenor (1903-1983), signed half-tone photograph, shown in role. Size is 4.25 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous American heldentenor (1925-2005), especially celebrated for Wagnerian and Strauss heroic tenor roles but also known for French and Italian dramatic repertoire. Signed postcard photograph, shown as Canio in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci, dated in Vienna in 1968. Photograph by Fayer photo studio, Vienna, 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. American-Hawaiian tenor (b.1957).  Signed photograph, shown in title role of Offenbach's Contes D'Hoffmann.  Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Scottish-born English baritone and voice teacher (1899-2000), a leading performer at Convent Garden and Glyndebourne in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, particularly known for Mozart roles, later the teacher of Kathleen Ferrier among other noteworthy singers. Signed postcard with a photographic etching, showing him in the role of Massetto in Mozart's Don Giovani, dated at the Glyndebourne festival in 1935.  This drawing is by Kenneth Green, Glyndebourne Opera. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German bass (b.1951), signed photograph, shown as himself. Signed on front with inscription and additional signature on verso. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.   

Italian soprano (1860-?). Autograph letter signed, written on a postcard, postmarked in 1895. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight stain near the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian soprano (1916-2000), daughter of the superstar tenor Beniamino Gigli. Autograph letter signed, written on the stationary of the Baur Au Lac Hotel in Zurich, dated in 1930, written in English and addressed to the Irish soprano Margaret Sheridan (1889-1958) (Rina Gigli was fourteen years old at this time and traveling with her parents). Text is on 2 pages of a 4 page sheet, (each page size is 5.75 x 7.25 inches), in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano (1877-1955), starred in the world premiere production of Pietro Mascagni's Isabeau in 1911.  Set of two autograph letters signed, both written in Italian, sold untranslated. The first scan is of a 4-page letter written in Milan in 1921 on all sides of a folded 5.25 x 8.25 inch sheet, signed as "Maria Riboldi Farneti", reflecting her marriage to lawyer Luigi Riboldi. The second scan is of a letter written on 3 sides of a folded 5.75 x 7.25 sheet, dated in Milan in 1920, and signed only as "Maria", both are in excellent condition. Italian bass-baritone (1812-1891). Autograph letter signed, written in Bologna, dated in 1871, 1 page written in Italian, sold untranslated. Bold and clear handwriting signed as "F. Zucchini". Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910), appeared as Fides in the world premiere production of Meyerbeer's Le Prophete as well as in the title role of Gounod's Sapho during its world premiere performances in 1851. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated, combined with a 1 page autograph note signed, written in English. Each item is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, both in excellent condition, not sold separately. 

Russian bass (1873-1938), possessor of a deep and expressive voice who enjoyed an important international career at major opera houses.  Autograph note signed written in French, dated in 1924, sold with a typed English translation, signed as "F. Chaliapin".  Size of original document is 8 x 10.5 inches, with some paper loss and wear on edges, not affecting the text and signature. 

American contralto (1841-1904). Autograph note signed, signed as "Antoinette Sterling MacKinlay", reflecting her 1874 marriage to John Mackinlay. 4-page folded document (each page is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, unfolded item is 3.5 x 8.75 inches) written in English, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1860-1931), starred as Silvio in the world premiere of Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. Autograph letter signed, written on both sides of a card with the emblem of the Grand Hotel de Londres in Naples, dated in 1906. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 3.5 x 5 inches, some wear and creases on top left and in the center of the card, priced accordingly. 

Italian baritone (1831-1918), autograph letter signed, written in Rome, dated in 1892, addressed to famous Italian conductor Leopoldo Mugnone. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. 3 pages of a 4 page folded document, size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches (unfolded is 7.25 x 8.75 inches), in excellent condition.

German soprano (1888-1990). Typed letter signed, written in Hollywood, dated in 1950, written in German, sold untranslated. 2 pages on both sides of a 5 x 7.25 inch sheet, small tear on the left side, otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian soprano (1825-1882). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages of a folded 4-page document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned playbill for a recital concert in 1872 accompanied by her husband, pianist Eduardo Vera. Size is 7.75 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas. Autograph note signed, dated in Milan in 1906, written in Italian on the first page of a folded 4 page document, addressed to his agent, "Mr. Fano" and sold with a typed English transcription. Original letter is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.
