Czech soprano (1907-1994), signed postcard, signed in Vienna, dated in 1934. Written in German, sold untranslated. Size is 5.75 inches x 3.75 inches, some wear on edges but otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian soprano (1889-1936), one of the most famous singers in the early 20th century. Signed album page, dated in 1934. Inscribed in Spanish. Also included: signature of Wilhelm Kempff, great German pianist (1895-1991) on verso. Size is 4.25 x 3.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

French tenor (1802-1839), created the principal tenor roles in all of Gioachino Rossini's French operas as well in many other operas by Auber, Halevy, and Meyerbeer including La Juive and Les Huguenots as well as in Donizetti's Poliuto. Autograph note signed, on one page of a two page folded document, written in Paris, dated in 1837. Written in French, sold untranslated. Bold signature and very attractive penmanship. Total size is 8 x 12.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Austro-Hungarian mezzo (1803-1877), appeared in the world premieres of Bellini's La Straniera, Donizetti's Parisina, Maria de Rudenz and Belisario, Saverio Mercadante's Le Due Illustre Rivali as well as in the first performances of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Missa Solemnis. Autograph note signed, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 4 x 5 inches, with some fading on the paper but writing and signature still extremely clear and visible.

Greek mezzo-soprano (1885-1949), signed card, written in French, sold untranslated. Card by itself is 4.25 x 3.25 inches, solidly matted to large cardboard backing, total item is 8 x 10 inches.  Also included is a matted unsigned photo, shown as herself, 5.25 x 3.75 inches, blind stamped by photographer Castera. Both items are in excellent condition. 

Bulgarian soprano (1913-1996), autograph letter signed, dated in 1949. 1 page, written in German, sold untranslated. Size is 7.25 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian bass (1870-1962), autograph letter signed, written in Milan, dated in 1948. 1 page, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, 4 small bullet holes at top outside the borders of the text and signature, otherwise in excellent condition.

Portuguese mezzo-soprano (1870-1953). Two autograph letters signed, both dated in 1949. The longer of the two is 3 pages, shorter is 2 pages. Written in Spanish, sold untranslated. Size of each is 8 x 10.25 inches, paper is very slightly faded but the text remains clear and transparent.

Size is 4.5 x 3.5 inches, with attractive blue seal at top left, in excellent condition. Also included: large attractive unsigned photo, shown in role, blind stamped by photographer Aime Dupont, New York. Size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition.

American tenor, actor and film star (1921-1959), signed album page, inscribed. Very clear handwriting and signature. Size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910), autograph letter signed. 2 pages of text on four page folded document. Written in French, sold untranslated. Size (unfolded) is 8.25 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition. Envelope with stamp is also included.

Star Italian tenor (1794-1854), who performed in many premieres of operas by Bellini and Donizetti including the former's I Puritani. Autograph note, unsigned, dated in 1833, written in Italian, sold untranslated. 1 page of a 4-page folded document. Size is 4.3 x 7.3 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1806-1854), internationally celebrated, who starred in the world premieres of Ludwig Van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Missa Solemnis as well as Carl Maria Von Weber's opera Euryanthe in which she sang the title role. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1850, written in English. 3 pages of text on a four-page folded document. Size (unfolded) is 8 x 6 inches. Very rare historical item, in extremely good condition!

Italian soprano (1818-1887), starred in the world premieres of three opera by Giuseppe Verdi: I Due Foscari, Il Corsaro and Macbeth. Autograph Letter signed, addressed to Carolina Ungher, dated in 1863. 1 page, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition. Written in Italian, sold untranslated but with an accompanying typed transcription.  Also included: beautiful copy of a lithographic portrait by G. Bacchini, Museum of La Scala, Milan containing her pre-printed signature. Size is 6.75 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Star Italian baritone (1866-1936), one of the most important singers of the Metropolitan Opera for over 25 years. Autograph note signed, written in French (sold untranslated) with the letterhead of the Savoy Hotel, London. Size is 9 x 7 inches (unfolded), slight wear on edges but otherwise in very good condition.

Size is 4.5 x 2.5 inches, with some paper loss at bottom left and slight tear at top right as well as mounting traces on verso, not affecting the text or signature, discount reflected in price. Otherwise in good condition.

American contralto (1897-1993), highly celebrated in her time. The first black person, American or otherwise, to perform at the at the Metropolitan Opera and an inspiration to many future African American performers.  Signed card, very clear handwriting and signature.  Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American tenor (1887-1977), autograph letter signed, written in Toronto, dated in 1953. 1 page, size is 8.5 x 11 inches, some slight tears on edges of page not affecting the text and signature. Otherwise in very good condition.

French-American coloratura soprano (1898-1976), a Met star for nearly 30 years. 7 Signed album pages inscribed to her from various colleagues in the opera world including Pasquale Amato, Giovanni Zenatello, Richard Crooks, and Queena Mario, among others. Variously written in English, French and Italian, sold untranslated. Each album page is 4.75 x 7.75 inches with slight fading at corners but overall in extremely good condition.

French bass-baritone (1848-1918). Two Autograph Letters signed. The first one has 3 pages of text on a 4-page folded document, written on the letterhead of the Paris Opera, the second is 2 pages of an unmarked 4-page folded document. Both are written in French and sold untranslated. Size of the first (longer) letter when unfolded is 10.5 x 5.25 inches; the second letter unfolded is 9.5 x 4.75 inches, both are in excellent condition.

French soprano (1885-1967). Two autograph letters signed. 1 page each, written in English, both signed as "Claire Dux-Swift". The older of the two letters dated in 1929 is 5.5 x 8.25 inches on slightly faded paper with a small bullet hole in one line of the text but otherwise in good condition. Another letter dated in 1933 is inscribed to Leo Riemens, 5.75 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition.

French-American coloratura soprano (1898-1976), a Metropolitan star for nearly 30 years. Autograph letter signed on her own letterhead, written in English on both sides of a large folded sheet (each side itself can be folded in half). Total size is 13 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

French Algerian soprano (1896-1972), autograph letter signed, dated in 1933. Written in French, sold untranslated. Written on both sides of two-sided stationary page. Size is 7.6 x 9.6 inches, with jagged edges but otherwise in excellent condition.

French tenor (1831-1905), who starred in the 1866 world premiere of Ambroise Thomas's Mignon. Autograph letter signed, written in Paris, dated in 1865. Written in French, sold untranslated. Letter consists of four folded pages, text is on the first three. Size when fully opened up is 10.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Swedish soprano (1918-2005), autograph letter signed, dated in 1974, written in English on stationary of the Huntington Hotel, San Francisco. 4 folded pages, text on three of the pages. Size when unfolded is 5.5 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition. Also included: one typed letter signed, written in English, dated in 1979. One page Airmail (or "Aerogram"), total size unfolded is 6.75 x 11 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1888-1976). 2 typed letters signed, both on her home letterhead in Santa Barbara, California. One is in German, dated in 1972, sold untranslated, Size is 5.75 x 7.5 inches with 2 bullet holes on left, otherwise in excellent condition. The second letter is typed in English, dated in 1966, sized 8.25 x 11 inches with 2 bullet holes and otherwise in excellent condition.  ALSO INCLUDED is one signed card with 2 bullet holes on the top. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian soprano (1917-1988), set of three typed letters signed and one signed photo. Each of the typed letters is written on large sheets of 8.25 x 11.5 inches with her letterhead on upper left and two bullet holes on the left. Two of these letters are dated in 1966 and one is dated in 1971. One of the 1966 letters contains six additional bullet holes, some of which cut away at the typed text. The other two letters are in fairly good condition with some wear on edges.  Also included: one signed photo, shown as herself, size is 4.75 x 6.75 inches in excellent condition, 2 typed recipes and 1 additional sheet of 8.25 x 11.5 inches, with both the typed names and handwritten signatures of both Hilde Guden and Lacy L. Herrmann.
