German soprano (1906-1987), particularly associated with the German repertoire and Mozart operas. Large lot of 31 autograph letters, most handwritten by her, a few typed, signed by her. In German, sold untranslated, to a Mr. Zwissler, dating from 1947 through 1968. Various sizes, from 5.75 x 4.25 inches to 8.25 x 11.75 inches (the most common size), storage holes, all in very good condition. See scans. Not sold individually.

Spanish tenor (1897-1938), famous in his time, Fleta created the role of Calaf in the world premiere of Turandot in 1926. Large signed photo, inscribed and dated in Barcelona in 1925.  Matted to a total size of 9.75 x 13.25 inches, actual photo is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, boldly signed in ink on a photographer´s mat by Fleta, and with crayon, under the photo, by photographer R. Batlles. Minor stains, otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1897-1938), famous in his time, Fleta created the role of Calaf in the world premiere of Turandot in 1926. Beautiful signed quote in Spanish ("Art! love of my loves"), dated by him in New York in 1923, matted with a nice photo of him to a total mat size of 14 x 11 inches, ready to be framed or can be easily unmounted. All in excellent condition.

Spanish tenor (1897-1938), famous in his time, Fleta created the role of Calaf in the world premiere of Turandot in 1926. Ovalized signed photo, shown in role (probably Rigoletto), inscribed and dated in Buenos Aires in 1924. Mounted on a mat that is 7.75 x 10.2 inches (it can be easily detached from it), in very good condition.

Large photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown in role, dated in Parma, 1941; blind-stamped by photographer Montacchini, Parma. Size is 7 x 9.4 inches, some silvering over the top and bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

American popular singer (1924-2016), signed photo, inscribed, with a short sentiment. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American contralto (1896-1964), signed photo, shown as herself, inscribed, with a short sentiment. Size is 8 x 10 inches, a photo by Daguerre, Chicago, in excellent condition.

Spanish soprano (1884-1938), who sang mostly zarzuela, signed photo postcard, inscribed and dated in Madrid in 1913. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blind stamped on front by Calvache, Madrid, in excellent condition.

French singer (1901-1983) and diseuse (teller/narrator), signed page with a letterhead from a hotel, with a short sentiment in French. Size is 6 x 8.25 inches, in very good condition.

American actress and singer (1878-1948), who performed in theater shows and some films in the US and England, mostly known for her role in Edwardian musical comedies, and became a popular postcard beauty.  Fantastic cabinet-style photograph signed by her with a short sentiment, shown in role in a comedy; a photo by Alfred Ellis & Walery, London.  Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition.

Swedish soprano (1884-1982), known as one of the most outstanding performers of Wagnerian roles in the 20th century. Signed typed letter, dated in Stockholm in 1977, written in German, sold untranslated. One page, 8.7 x 11.1 inches, slight crease at bottom but otherwise in very good condition.

French soprano (1833-1920), famous for her performances of operetta roles, especially the works of Jacques Offenbach. Autograph note signed, one page, written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 4 x 6.25 inches, beautifully preserved item in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1887-1976). Autobiographical note, written in Milan, dated in 1951. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Two pages on one double-sided sheet with three storage holes in the center and near the bottom of the document. Size is 8.3 x 10.75 inches, in very good condition.

Romanian soprano (1886-1960). Handwritten autobiography, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Fifteen pages of text on five sheets of paper, most double-sided, with three storage holes at the top of each page. Size is 5.75 x 8 inches, small stain at the bottom of the first page not affecting the text, otherwise in very good condition.  ALSO INCLUDED are four small photo clips ranging in size from 1.5 x 2.9 inches to 2.75 x 4.3 inches, shown both as herself and in role (not scanned).  

Italian super-star soprano (1871-1940), autograph letter signed, written in Milan in Italian, sold untranslated. Two pages on one double-sided sheet. Size is 6 x 7 inches, some wear on blank portion of verso but otherwise in good condition. 

Italian soprano (1898-1966), autograph letter signed, using the letterhead of the Hotel Terminus in the Hague. Addressed to Leo Riemens, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, in very good condition.

Star Australian soprano (1861-1931), who became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian Era and the 20th century for her beautiful voice and technique. Autograph letter signed, written in French, sold untranslated. 2 folded pages, size is 4.5 x 6.1 inches in excellent condition.
