Swedish mezzo-soprano (1879-1941), signed photo postcard, shown in role. Signed in Stockholm, dated in 1938. Blindstapmed by photographer Ferdinand Flodin, Stockholm. Size is 3.25 x 5.3 inches with some wear on edges but otherwise in excellent condition.

French soprano (1901-2001), signed large photo, shown in role.  Inscribed to Leo Riemens with sentiment. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, with significant crack on bottom left of photo not affecting the overall image and signature. Otherwise in good condition.

Italian soprano (1922-2004), signed photo, shown in title role of Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur. Inscribed in Chicago, dated 1958. Photo by Erio Piccagliani, Milan. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in very good condition.

Italian soprano (1885-1967) who had a very important international career in the 1910s and 20s, retired in 1935 and became a voice teacher - Star Renata Tebaldi was one of her students. Large signed photo, shown in role, inscribed and dated in New York in 1916, a photo by Bottini, Rome. Size is 8 x 15 inches, repaired cracks and paper loss on 3 corners, otherwise in good condition.

Italian tenor, very popular in the 1910s as an operetta singer, was the first Danilo in the Italian premiere of The Merry Widow, and left rare fonotipia recordings. Large photo shown young, signed and inscribed by him to "the respectable direction of the Teatro Sociale of Rome", dated in 1911; photo by Varischi & Artico, Milan.  Size is 6.4 x 9 inches, mounted on a photographer's mat for a total size of 10 x 13.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1853-1916), one of the greatest stars of the last decades of the 19th century. Marconi had a very important international career, and, starting in 1903, he was one of the earliest tenors to leave a recorded legacy. Large signed photo, shown in role (probably in the title role in Spartaco, opera by Pietro Platania, a role he created in the world premiere of this opera in Naples, just 10 days earlier (March 29th, 1891). Inscribed to conductor Carelli, and dated in Naples on April 7th, 1891. A photo by D`Alessandri brothers, Rome, 8.6 x 15 inches!, some small holes on borders made by nails, damaged corners, otherwise very good - still, a magnificent item to look at, and very rare.

Austro-Hungarian and Romanian tenor and actor (1904-1942) who passed away still young, at a peak in popularity. Signed photo postcard shown in an image by Oswald film, in the movie "Ein Lied Geht um die Welt" (A Song Goes Round the World), size is 3.5 x 5 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. French-Canadian mezzo (b.1938).  Signed photo, shown in title role of Bizet's Carmen, dated 1972. Stamped on verso by photographer Elisabeth Speidel, Hamburg. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches with slight wear on edges but otherwise in very good condition.

Argentine mezzo-soprano (b.1948).  Signed photo, shown in title role of Bizet's Carmen at Teatro Regio, Parma. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.   

Belgian-born mezzo-soprano (1875-1957), with a long career in both opera, musical comedy, and operetta. Large photograph shown in the title role of Bizet's Carmen -her best known operatic role which she performed on over 300 occasions. Photo is signed and inscribed with very clear handwriting and signature by the mezzo-soprano. Size is 6 x 8 inches, beautiful vintage photo in excellent condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1910-2010) celebrated for her mastery of many different styles of Italian and French opera including bel canto, verismo, and the great Verdi works.  Very eye-catching and attractive signed photograph in the title role of Bizet's Carmen, shown in costume backstage with animal companions.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian mezzo-soprano (1864-1939), who was the first Charlotte in the world premiere of Massenet's opera "Werther" in 1892.
