Star French soprano (1890-1979), one of the greatest Wagnerian sopranos during the 1930s and 1940s, who had many complications due to an alleged association with the Germans during the occupation of France. Extra large photograph signed by her, shown as Elsa in Wagner's Lohengrin -one of her best roles. Size is 16 x 20 inches, minor creases, otherwise in excellent condition. Rare!.  

Star Spanish-born soprano (1843-1919), one of the greatest singers of the 19th century, and considered by Verdi himself as perhaps the finest singer who had ever lived. Fine cabinet photograph signed by her, shown young, dated in 1899. Photo by A. Esme Collings, West Brighton-London, with a hand-painted oval around her image, made by the photo studio. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, minor mounting traces on the front, otherwise in very good condition.
