Danish tenor (1827-1906), who developed an important career in Europe 1852-85 performing over 140 roles, then dedicated his life to teach and compose. Signed half-tone photo playbill, shown as Lohengrin, announcing a performance of his opera "The Gipsy Bride". Size is 5.5 x 9.5 inches. Item has 2 barely visible folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

German super star soprano (1806-1854) of international fame. Sontag was the soprano of choice for the soprano solo in the world premiere of Beethoven´s 9th Symphony and in his Missa Solemnis. She also created the title role in Euryanthe, opera by Carl Maria von Weber, later in 1854 Sontag entoned Mexico´s national anthem for the first time. Signature on card, matted with a very nice vintage print of her - rare! Total mat size is 9.5 x 12 inches, image is 3.25 x 4.25 inches (visible window size), signature is 3.75 x 2 inches (visible window size). In excellent condition.

American coloratura soprano (1929-2007), very famous between the 50's and the 70's, she became the general manager of the New York City Opera, chairwoman of the Lincoln Center and the Met Opera. Signed photo, shown as Pamyra in Le Siege de Corinthe, opera by Rossini. Size is 8 x 10 inches. Also included a cast page from a Metropolitan Opera program for a performance of this opera, with Sills in the cast and two ticket stubs.

Also included is a cast page from the NYC Opera for a performance of Maria Stuarda with Sills, signed by her and by Pauline Tinsley. A very nice item to frame with the signed photo!
