American mezzo-soprano (1929-2019), who had an active international career from the 1950s through the 1990s, created roles in the world premieres of operas by composers Dominick Argento, David Carlson, Carlisle Floyd, Gian Carlo Menotti, Thomas Pasatieri, and Ned Rorem. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed with sentiment, dated in 1970. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition. 

American coloratura soprano (1910-1994), had an active performance career in operas, operettas, and concerts on the American stage and on American radio from the mid-1930s into the 1950s. She created the role of Madame Boticini in the original Broadway production of Fritz Kreisler's Rhapsody in 1944. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer Renato Toppo, New York. Size is 7.75 x 9.75 inches, in very good condition. 

American contralto (1918-1985), signed photograph, shown as herself. Stamped on verso by photographer Palffy, Vienna. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

French contralto (1875-1932), a major singer in Paris at the Opéra-Comique enjoyed an international career in the 1890s through the 1910s. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her. Size is 4.4 x 5.75 inches, 2 written pages in 1 sheet, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an original vintage photograph of her in role. Size is 4.1 x 6.25 inches, in very good condition.

French soprano (1801-1863), later teacher, particularly associated with Rossini roles and also operas by Meyerbeer and Auber, premiering some of them. Short autograph music quote (probably a personal cadenza) signed and inscribed by her and dated 1844. Size is 8.3 x 3.6 inches, crack over the left border, minor stains, otherwise in excellent condition.

French soprano (1801-1863), later teacher, particularly associated with Rossini roles and also operas by Meyerbeer and Auber, premiering some of them. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition. Italian-American soprano (1901-1986), particularly associated with the Italian opera repertoire. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her in London, 1928; blind-stamped on the front by photographer Nicholas Muray (New York). Size is 3.7 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian soprano (1893-1977). An album page signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated April 19th, 1928. Size is 7.7 x 10.1 inches, in very good condition.

Polish tenor (1850-1925) and Polish bass (1853-1917), brothers. Beautiful original cabinet photograph by Aimé Dupont (New York) featuring the brothers De Reszke, signed by both artists. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, irregular coloration over the image, otherwise in good condition.

Welsh bass-baritone (1922-1992); American mezzo-soprano (1922-2013). Nice black-and-white half-tone photograph signed and inscribed by both artists with short sentiments, shown in Verdi's Falstaff. Size is 9.9 x 7.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1861-1917) who had an important career during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, appearing at major theatres, becoming the first Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca in 1900. Fine card signed by him with a short greeting in French (untranslated). Size is 3.75 x 2.1 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned imperial cabinet photo of him. Size is 5.3 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1858-1918) considered one of the finest singers of his time, and creator of roles such as Ford in Verdi's Falstaff and Schaunard in Puccini's La Bohème.  4-bar autograph music quote from Verdi's Falstaff on an album page signed by him and dated in New York, May 1911. Size is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, central fold, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photograph of Pini-Corsi by A. Dupont (New York). Size is 4.3 x 6.3 inches, in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1871-1924), creator of the role of Vittelio Scarpia during the world premiere of Puccini's opera "Tosca" in 1900. Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated in San Paolo, 1917. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

French baritone and composer (1830-1914). 2 sepia photographs of the baritone printed on the same mat and signed by him in 1868. Total size is 9.1 x 11.9 inches, in very good condition.

Prominent Italian baritone (1882-1963). Gorgeous black-and-white photograph signed by him, here shown as Rigoletto in Verdi's opera; blind-stamped over the lower-left corner by Colomines & Co. (Havana). Size is 7.7 x 9.6 inches, in excellent condition.

French soprano (1846-1926), later known as Marie Roze-Mapleson, because of her second marriage to James Mapleson, one of the sons of the noted impresario. Fine card signed by her with a short sentiment dated in London, 1881. Size is 4.6 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian opera singer (1866-1923). Small card signed by her with a short poem in English dated 1900. Size is 6.8 x 4.4 inches, in very good condition.

Catalan mezzo-soprano (1876-1943) and wife of the celebrated tenor Giovanni Zenatello. 2-bar autograph music quote from Bizet's Carmen attached to a photo postcard of the artist shown as Carmen and mounted on a piece of cardboard, signed by her and dated in 1907. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, in very good condition.

French bass (1851-1914), one of the most acclaimed basses of the Golden Age of Opera. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him and dated in London, June 3rd, 1898, to a lady, mounted on soft cardboard. Size is 5.1 x 8 inches, 1 written page, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1864-1950), creator of the role of Santuzza in the world premiere of Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and the title role in Giordano's Fedora. Autograph letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by her (pencil marks indicate the year 1923). Size is 5.8 x 6.3 inches, 2 written pages in 1 sheet (front and back), in excellent condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1892-1944) who debuted in Savona as Azucena in Verdi's Il Trovatore in 1918. Fine sepia photo postcard signed by her and dated in London, 1920, here shown as herself; blind-stamped on the front by photographer N.M. Naghi (Parma). Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, crease over the lower-right border, otherwise in excellent condition.

American mezzo-soprano (1919-2001), who had an active thirty-year career at the New York City Opera between 1948 and 1978. Signed photograph, shown as herself, relaxing at home with her dog. Size is 8 x 10 inches, very small crease on bottom right, otherwise in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED: 2 page autograph letter signed, written from the Hampshire House in Houston, Texas in 1978, each page 7.25 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Swiss soprano (1919-2012), and German soprano (1921-2018), both famous for her interpretations of Richard Strauss operas.  Double signed photograph, shown as Chrysothemis and Elektra in Richard Strauss's Elektra. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

American tenor (b. 1954), signed publicity photograph, shown as himself, young. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases on edges, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian-born American soprano (1909-2014), noted especially for her portrayals of the lyric heroines of Verdi and Puccini, and a leading artist with The Met Opera from 1940 to 1966. Set of one 8 x 10 signed photograph, shown as herself, along with three signed program pages for concert recitals accompanied by pianist Pablo Miquel, 4 pages each (6.25 x 9.5 inches) with full listing of pieces and program notes,  and two autograph notes signed, 2 pages each, one in Italian (sold untranslated) and one in English. Very small creases and 1 tear on edge of the photo, several creases and bends on the programs, otherwise items are in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Finnish soprano (b.1960) and American baritone (b.1955), double signed photograph, shown in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, in very good condition.

Celebrated Romanian soprano (1860-1939), and creator of the titles roles in Puccini's "Tosca", Mascagni's "Iris", and Catalani's "La Wally". Gorgeous original large-sized cabinet photograph of her as Floria Tosca by photographer Montabone (Rome) signed and inscribed by Darclee with a short sentiment dated in Milan, April 1900, just three months after the world premiere of Puccini's Tosca. Size is 6.8 x 9.6 inches, in very good condition. This is the best of the largest photographs of Darclee as Tosca we have ever seen!

Star German contralto (1861-1936), who had a successful international career, remarkable in Wagnerian roles, performing several times at the Bayreuth Festival. Original cabinet photograph of her in her younger days by photographer Aimé Dupont (New York) signed by Schumann-Heink. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous French baritone (1847-1909), starred in the world premiere performance of Massenet's Le Roi de Lahore, Saint-Saens's Ascanio, and Henry VIII, among others. Beautiful cabinet photograph of him by photographer Aimé Dupont (New York) signed by Lassalle. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Leading Russian tenor (1882-1944) who developed an international career after the Russian revolution in 1917, left nearly 90 recordings. Very nice cabinet photograph signed by him with a long sentiment dated in Moscow, 1906, here shown as Vladimir Lensky in Tchaikovsky's celebrated opera "Eugene Onegin". Size is 4.2 x 6.4 inches, water stains over the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.
