French tenor (1924-2002). Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him with a short sentiment in French dated 1949, shown in role; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Henri Vermeulen (Brussels). Size is 4.6 x 6.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Chilean mezzo-soprano (1927-2017), signed photograph, shown as Herodias in Richard Strauss's Salome, dated in 1963. Stamped on verso by photographer Troncone. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches in very good condition

Argentine mezzo-soprano (1888-1933). Signed postcard photograph, shown as Rubria in Boito's Nerone at it's La Scala world premiere in 1924. Blind stamped on front by photographer Kitzler, Buenos Aires. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, slight paper loss on far edges and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.   

Italian tenor and teacher (1855-1927) , signed cabinet photo, shown as himself, dated in 1875. Size is 4 x 7.25 inches, some paper loss on each corner, otherwise in very good condition.

Dutch mezzo-soprano (1880-1970), group of 2 autograph letters signed, 2 pages each (written on both sides of a single document) both written in German and sold untranslated. One is 6.75 x 10 inches and written in Berlin, the other is 6.25 x 10.25 inches and composed in Amsterdam. In excellent condition, not sold separately. 

French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910), short autograph letter signed, 1 page, dated in 1907. Written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 5 x 6.5 inches, small smudges on the top and bottom corners of the document not affecting the text and bold signature, otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian baritone (1856-1928), known as the King of baritones in his time. Autograph letter signed, dated in Rome in 1887, signed as "Battistini", 3 pages in Italian, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, in very good condition.  

Star Italian tenor (1850-1905), chosen by Verdi for the title role in the world premiere of Otello in 1887. He also was one of the first Italian tenors to have left recordings. Autograph letter signed, dated in Venice in 1902, signed as "Tamagno" and to an unknown recipient. In French language, sold untranslated. Two pages in one folded sheet, each page is 4.25 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

English tenor (1866-1921), autograph letter signed, 2 pages, dated in 1918, written on both sides of a 5 x 7 inch document, in very good condition. 

American tenor (1887-1977), autograph letter signed, 4 pages in English, dated in 1954. Size is 6.25 x 10 inches, in very good condition. 

Star German contralto (1861-1936), autograph letter signed, 3 pages, written in English, dated in 1914. Size of each page is 5.25 x 6.75 inches, small tear in middle of the page, otherwise in very good condition.  

Austro-Hungarian soprano (1881-1963), famous in Europe and the United States for her voice and interpretations in the Italian and German repertory. Set of 2 autograph letters signed, one is 3 pages written at the Hotel Bretton Hall, New York in 1951, 6 x 9.5 inches, the other 1 large page, dated in 1948, 6.5 x 10 inches, both in very good condition, along with 1 autograph note signed, also dated in 1948 at 4.25 x 5 inches in excellent condition, each written in English. Also included: 2 unsigned photo clips of her in role including as Lenore in Beethoven's Fidelio. Not sold separately. 

American tenor (1898-1975). Set of 1 signed photograph, shown in role in Mascagni's Iris, inscribed to the famed author Leo Riemens, dated in Norman, Oklahoma in 1945, 4.75 x 6.75 inches, in very good condition, and 1 typed letter signed also written to Riemens, 3 pages, dated in 1941, size of each page is 8.5 x 11 inches, also in very good condition. Portuguese baritone (1856-1921), who sang leading roles in opera houses throughout Europe. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in French and sold untranslated. Size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches, small bullet holes at the bottom of each page and several small creases and folds, otherwise in very good condition. 

American contralto (1899-1970), autograph letter signed, 2 pages of text on a folded 4 page document, embossed, written in English and dated in 1933. Size of each page is 5 x 7.75 inches, several creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition. 

English contralto (1873-1930). Set of 1 autograph note signed, 1 page written in English, dated in London in 1909, size is 7 x 10 inches, several creases, otherwise in good condition, along with signed 8 x 10 inch program page from a concert in London's Wigmore Hall, both items signed only as "Kirkby Lunn". Small tear on the left side of the program page, otherwise in good condition. Not sold separately. 

Italian soprano (1908-2005), considered one of the leading bel canto sopranos of her day. Typed letter signed, written in Milan, dated in 1939. 2 pages on both sides of a 8.25 x 11 inch document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Small crease on the bottom left and right, otherwise in very good condition. 

French-Algerian baritone (1877-1940), autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in French and sold untranslated. Size of each page is 4.5 x 6 inches, several creases and folds, otherwise in very good condition. 

French bass-baritone (1861-1933), who starred in the world premiere of Massenet's Thais and many other operas. Group of 2 autograph letters signed, one page each, both written in French and sold untranslated. dated in 1909 and 1914. The earlier letter is 4.75 x 6.5 inches, the later one is 5.5 x 7.25 inches, several small creases, otherwise in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

French soprano (1814-1880) whose full name was Cecile Eugenie Mayer Garcia, a leading performer at the Opera Comique in Paris and prominent voice teacher, and who was also the wife of the famous Spanish baritone Manuel Garcia Jr. Set of 4 autograph letters signed, each written in French and sold untranslated, three of these on embossed stationary. Signed as "E. Garcia". Clear and bold signature. Lengths of each letter range from 2 to 4 pages, most are 2 pages. Sizes range from 4 x 6 inches to 5.25 x 8 inches, several small folds but otherwise in very good condition.  Not sold separately. 

Collection of 10 signed letters from friends and contemporaries of the great star Swedish soprano Jenny Lind (1820-1887), known as the "Swedish Nightingale", one of the biggest opera stars of the 19th century.  These letters discuss her musical career, include numerous personal anecdotes and include reports of her performances. They are written in a wide variety of languages including French and German (sold untranslated) and are dated between the 1840s and 1880s. Sizes range from 5 x 7.75 inches to 6 x 9 inches, most are around 6 x 8.5 inches, very well preserved in good condition. Fascinating historical items, not sold separately. 

French cabaret singer (1865-1944), and actress of the Belle Epoque, who also performed in silent films. Autograph letter signed,  dated in 1921, 1 page (of a folded 4 page document) written in French sold with a typed English translation.  Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, small mounting traces, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1876-1937), autograph letter signed, written at the Strand Palace Hotel, London, dated in 1931, 4 pages, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5 x 8 pages, in excellent condition. 

Norwegian soprano and actress (1884-1968), typed letter signed, 1 page written in English, dated in Paris in 1933. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small tear on the middle right side of the document, and several small creases and folds, otherwise in very good condition. 

American soprano (1857-1914), autograph letter signed, written on the stationary of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York, 2 pages written in English. Size of each page is 4.25 x 6.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Legendary German soprano and later voice teacher (1888-1976), set of 1 autograph letter signed on the stationary of the Orrington Hotel in Evanston Illinois, dated in 1964 and 1 typed letter hand-signed at the bottom, on her home letterhead in Santa Barbara, California, dated in 1970. Both are 1 page and written in English. Size of the earlier letter is 6 x 9.5 inches, with several mounting traces and small tear and crease on bottom right, otherwise in very good condition, typed letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, several very small creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition. Italian soprano (1835-1889), and sister of the famed Adelina Patti.  Set of 2 autograph letters signed,  one of which is 3 pages of a folded 4-page letter, written in Italian, the other is 2 pages of a folded 4- page letter, written in French, both sold untranslated. Each folded page is 4.5 x 6.75 inches, several very small creases and folds, otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately.   

New Zealand-born Australian-raised operatic Soprano (1879-1952). Set of 2 typed letters signed, with handwritten signature, 2 pages each, both dated in 1951.  1 item is 5.75 x 7.75 inches, the other is 5.25 x 6.75 inches, both in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

American contralto (1880-1962). 1 autograph letter signed, 3 pages in English, on embossed stationary, dated in 1946. Size of each page is 5.5 x 7 inches, very slight paper loss on bottom right of first page, otherwise in excellent condition. Also included: signed publicity photograph advertising an opera she composed entitled "Rosalind", signature dated in 1946. Size is 4.75 x 10.25 inches, in excellent condition. Bold and clear handwriting and signature on both items, not sold separately. 

French contralto (1875-1932), a major singer in Paris at the Opéra-Comique enjoyed an international career in the 1890s through the 1910s. Autograph letter signed, 2 long pages (one document with 2 sides), written in French and sold untranslated. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches,  several small tears, creases and folds, otherwise in good condition. 

Legendary Danish-American tenor (1890-1973), the preeminent Wagnerian tenor for three decades, from the 1920s to the early 1950s.  Autograph note signed, 1 page, written in English on the stationary of the Ansonia Hotel, New York. Size is 7 x 10 inches, in very good condition. 

German baritone (1897-1977) known for Mozart, Wagner and Strauss roles, sang frequently at the Vienna State Opera. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in German, sold untranslated. Size is 7.5 x 11.25 inches, small tear at the top and several creases and folds, otherwise in good condition. 

Austrian-American soprano (1879-1954), autograph letter signed, 3 pages, written on a folded 4-page document, written in English, dated in New York in 1936. Size of each page is 5 x 7.75 inches, some rust stains on empty back page, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Star Italian soprano, actress and monologist (1874-1944) who had a celebrated career in both the U.S and Europe.  Set of 4 autograph letters signed, 1 with embossed letterhead, the others on official hotel stationary. These range from 4 to 8 pages in length (two are 7 pages long), all written in Italian, sold untranslated. Sizes range from 5.25 x 7.25 inches to 6.75 x 8.25 inches, all in very good condition. Not sold separately, only as a lot. 

Belgian born American mezzo (1865-1957), known as "the grand lady of the chorus at the Metropolitan Opera House", sang in opera in both Europe and the United States for over sixty-three years. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1947, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 6 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

American soprano (1859-1940) whose real name was Emma Wixom, considered one of the finest coloratura sopranos of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  Autograph letter signed, 4 pages, dated in 1880. Size of each page is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor (1893-1964), autograph note signed, 1 page, written in English. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, 1 fold with small tear on the right and several creases on bottom and sides, otherwise in very good condition. 

Irish baritone (1847-1923), autograph musical quote signed of the opening bars of the Irish folk song "Oh Molly Bawn" composed by  Samuel Lover, dated in May 1890.  Bold handwriting and signature, singed as "Wm. Ludwig". 9 x 11 inch album page, several small cracks on far left and small tear on the right, not affecting any of the text or signature. Otherwise in excellent condition.

Famous English soprano (1888-1976).  Autograph note signed, 1 page note written on her official stationary, size is 5.5 x 7 inches, 1 fold and small crease on top left, otherwise in excellent condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1882-1915), signed photograph, shown possibly in role, inscribed. Photo by Mishkin Studio, New York. This is a 5.75 x 7.75 inch photo mounted on cardboard, text is contained on bottom of the photo and continues onto the bottom of the cardboard. Total item size is 10 x 12 inches, with several small cracks on the edges of the cardboard and mounting traces on verso, photo itself is in excellent condition. 

Danish baritone (b. 1962), American soprano (b.1956), Austrian mezzo-soprano (b. 1965) and American tenor (b. 1964), signed photo with signatures from each of these artists, shown in Franz Lehar's The Merry Widow at the Vienna State Opera in 1998. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

American soprano (b.1959), famous for singing operas by Richard Strauss, Mozart, Handel, bel canto, lieder, French opera and chansons, even jazz and indie rock. Beautiful signed photograph, shown in the title role of Massenet's Thais, a role she frequently performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Size is 8 x 10.75 inches, in excellent condition.
