American soprano (1849-1911), whose career focused on oratorio and chamber music. Autograph letter signed by her, dated in Liverpool, October 22nd, no year (but circa 1880), addressed to a fan. Size is 4.3 x 7 inches, 1 page, in very good condition.

American contralto (1873-1961). Autograph letter signed by her, dated in New York, on November 23rd, 1913, addressed to an autograph collector, with the letterhead of the collector.  Size is 4.3 x 6.9 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet, overall rust tone. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photo postcard with three images of Mapleson. Size is 5.3 x 3.5 inches, small crease over the upper-right corner, in excellent condition.

Superstar Italian soprano (1843-1919), one of the greatest singers of the 19th century.  Autograph letter signed by her about personal matters, dated in 1905. Size is 5.3 x 7.1 inches, 3 written pages in one sheet, rust stain over the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a signed clip by her (size is 7.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition) and a nice print of her, shown young (size is 7.3 x 10.2 inches). SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French mezzo-soprano (1855-1901). Autograph letter signed by her, written in French (sold untranslated). Size is 5.3 x 8.25 inches, 3 written pages in one sheet, in excellent condition.  

Star Swedish soprano (1820-1887), known as the "Swedish Nightingale", she was one of the biggest opera stars of the 19th century. Autograph letter signed by her, written in German (sold untranslated), dated in Lübeck, April 15th, 1840. Size is 4.4 x 7.1 inches, 4 written pages in one sheet, folds, in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1881-1955), acclaimed as a star singer at Teatro La Scala, well known for performing several important roles in such operas as Madama Butterfly, L'Africaine, Carmen and Cavalleri Rusticana. Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, inscribed in Buenos Aires, dated in 1915. This 4 x 5.75 inch photo is mounted onto solid cardboard, total item size is 6.25 x 8.5 inches. Photo is by Francesco Reale, Rome (his printed signature is at the bottom of the cardboard). Beautiful vintage item in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1891-1939), signed postcard photograph, shown as Kyoto in Mascagni's Iris. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some wear on edges, otherwise in very good condition.

German bass (b.1938), signed photograph, shown as Gurnemanz in Wagner's Parsifal, dated in 1987. Stamped on verso by photographer Hans-Joachim Lieske, Hamburg. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Polish tenor (1893-1982), signed photograph, shown as Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca, dated in 1933. Size is 4 x 5.85 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

German soprano (1853-1939) and wife of celebrated Hungarian conductor Anton Seidl; and German bass-baritone (1838-1914). Beautiful cabinet photograph signed by both artists, shown in Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" at The Metropolitan Opera House. Size is 375 x 5.4 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition. Autographs of Auguste Seidl-Kraus are exceedingly rare!

Beautiful vintage 4.5 x 6 inch photograph mounted onto cardboard, total item size is 7.75 x 10.5 inches. Very small crack on top left corner of photo and mounting traces on the back of the cardboard, otherwise in very good well-preserved condition. 

Romanian-born American soprano (1884-1938), one of the most famous performers in the 1910s, very famous for singing at the Met Opera of New York. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1921. Very bold and clear handwriting and signature. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

German soprano (1912-2008), one of the leading sopranos of her generation and largely associated with Richard Strauss´ operas. Signed photograph, shown as herself with two of the most prominent opera singers of the twentieth century, the legendary Greek soprano Maria Callas and German heldentenor Max Lorenz. Stamped on verso by photographer Piccagliani, La Scala, Milan. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

Austrian-American singer (1898-1981), and actress; mostly based in the United States, married to composer Kurt Weill, and best remembered for performing his songs. Autograph album page signed by her, dated in 1971. Size is 5.1 x 3.8 inches, in excellent condition.

French soprano (1895-?), made her debut in 1917 and sang primarily at the leading opera houses of the French province. In 1922 she joined to the Paris Opéra-Comique. Signed postcard photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, attractive vintage item in excellent condition.
