Italian baritone, whose career developed between 1893 and 1906. Set of 2 small half-tone photographs signed by him, dated in San Francisco, November 1903, plus one short autograph note signed by him in Italian, also dated in San Francisco, October  1903.  Photos are 3.25 x 4.5 inches and 3 x 4 inches, autograph note is 3.9 x 5 inches. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Italian baritone (1831-1918) of the first magnitude, regarded internationally as one of the greatest male opera singers of the 19th century, particularly admired by Verdi himself. Nice Carte-de-Visite (CDV) photo of Cotogni by photographer Valleto (Mexico), signed by the baritone, shown young.   Size is 2.5 x 4.1 inches, small hole at the top center, some stains and marks, in overall very good condition.

French tenor (1853-1892), creator of various roles including Gerald in Delibes' "Lakmé", Hoffmann in Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann", and Des Grieux in Massenet's "Manon". An original cabinet photograph by Benque (Paris) signed by the tenor in Paris, 1894, with a short sentiment. Size is 4.25 x 6.3 inches, minor holes over both lower corners, some stains, otherwise in overall very good condition.

French tenor (1861-1933), creator of the roles of Nicias and Araquil in Massenet's "Thaïs" and "La Navarraise" respectively. Fantastic black-and-white cabinet photograph by Benque (Paris) signed by the tenor, shown probably as Otello in Verdi's opera, dated 1905.  Size is 4.3 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Acclaimed Italian tenor (1820-1889), originally named Enrico Danieli, who was well known for his command of very high notes and powerful voice, and creator of the role of Don Alvaro in the world premiere of Verdi's La Forza del Destino in 1862. Beautiful Carte-de-Visite photo signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment.  Size is 2.4 x 3.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1868-1930), appeared in world premiere performances of Giordano's Andrea Chenier in 1896 and Leoncavallo's Zaza in 1900. Fine black-and-white cabinet photo by A. Bobbone (Lisbon) signed and inscribed by the baritone with a short sentiment, shown young. Size is 4.25 x 6.4 inches, spotted rust on the front and verso, otherwise in very good condition.

French tenor (1863-1938). Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed by the tenor, shown as Faust in Gounod's opera, dated in Brussels, 1899.  Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, minor mounting traces on verso, minor silvering around edges, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian tenor (1858-1924). Nice mini cabinet photograph signed with a short sentiment by the tenor, dated in Barcelona, 1892, shown young.  Size is 2.4 x 4 inches, in excellent condition.

German operetta soprano. Nice vintage cabinet photograph by Rudolf Krziwanek (Vienna), signed and inscribed by the soprano with a long sentiment.  Size is 4.25 x 6.4 inches, in very good condition.

Italian tenor (1810-1883), whose real name was Giovanni Matteo De Candia, and was considered one of the most celebrated singers of his time, lionized by audiences in Paris and London.  Nice full-body photograph signed by him, dated in Rome, 1874; blind-stamped on verso by photographer G. Ambrosetti, Turin.  Size is 3.6 x 5 inches, trimmed from a larger format, otherwise in very good condition.

Star Italian coloratura soprano (1871-1940) of great international fame. Her voice was remarkable for its phenomenal flexibility, thrust, and thrilling tone. Beautiful black-and-white photo postcard signed by her, shown as herself. Size is 3 x 4.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas. Signed photograph, shown as himself, extensively inscribed, dated in Bologna in 1922. Stamped on verso by photographer A. Badodi, Rome. Size is 3.75 x 5.75 inches, beautiful vintage item in excellent condition. 

French baritone (1918-2004), regarded as one of the very finest interpreters of French art song. Signed photograph, shown as Golaud in Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande. Size is 5 x 6.75 inches, in very good condition. 

New Zealand-born baritone (b. 1966), signed photograph, shown in role. Size is 8 x 10.25 inches, in excellent condition.

French opera singer (1929-2011) who sang both Soprano and Mezzo repertoire. Signed photograph, shown possibly in role, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer Wiezniak, Philips. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German tenor (1831-1917), associated with the music of Wagner, and creator of the role of Siegmund in the first complete performance of Der Ring des Nibelungen in Bayreuth in 1876.  Fantastic Carte-de-Visite of Niemann by Reichard & Lindner (Berlin), signed by the tenor. Size is 2.1 x 4.2 inches, ink-markings on verso, in overall very good condition.

Italian tenor (1857-1915). Larger size cabinet photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in Italian, shown probably as Amonasro in Verdi's "Aida"; photo by Sociedad Artistico Fotografica, Madrid.  Size is 5.1 x 8.5 inches, some stains on verso, in overall excellent condition. Very Rare!

Italian tenor (1844-1926) who toured many countries, even appearing in Russia in 1877. Beautiful cabinet photograph of the tenor by Esplugas (Barcelona, Spain), signed by the singer with a short sentiment, dated 1881.  Size is 4.2 x 6.4 inches, minor scratches, and small amount of dotted stains, in overall very good condition.

Celebrated Romanian soprano (1860-1939), and creator of the titles roles in Puccini's "Tosca", Mascagni's "Iris", and Catalani's "La Wally". Beautiful colorized photo postcard signed by her, shown as Tosca -a role she created in the world premiere of the opera in 1900.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some ink-markings over the lower border and on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1775-1832), composer, impresario, and singing teacher, and father of the celebrated mezzo-sopranos Maria Malibran and Pauline Viardot. Rare contract handwritten and signed by Manuel Garcia and impresario Domenico Rossi on April 2, 1803, where Garcia gave up the rights to the Teatro Coliseo de los Caños de Peral, Madrid, of his opera "El Luto Fingido", premiered on May 30, 1803; and also obliging himself to sing his opera as many nights as requested. Size is 8.5 x 12.25 inches, 1 page, small loss of paper over the right border, some stains, printed at the top with an official seal, year 1803, central fold, in overall very good condition. This is a fabulous and rare document signed and handwritten by Garcia about one of his works as a composer and his commitment to singing as a tenor. 

French tenor (1806-1896), who performed at the world premiere in Lucia di Lammermoor (1835). His book "L'Art du Chant" signed twice by the author (on the title page and over the opposite blank page) with a 3-bar music quote and lyrics.  Size is 7.5 x 10.8 inches, 123 pages, 2nd edition (no year); original covers were removed and rebound with leather hard covers, in overall very good condition.

Star Spanish tenor (1844-1890), considered one of the best singers of the late 19th century, and creator of the role of Enzo in the world premiere of La Gioconda and Marcello in the premiere of Il Duca d'Alba.  Larger size engraving print of Gayarre by B. Maura (Madrid, 1880), boldly signed by the star tenor, inscribed to the Spanish author and speaker Faustino Sanchez Gil (1850-1896).  Size is 12.25 x 16 inches, minor rust stains on edges, otherwise in excellent condition.

American soprano (1928-1984), signed publicity photograph, shown as herself with two signatures, dated in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1962. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Ukrainian soprano (b. 1933), signed photograph (most likely taken from a program or magazine), shown as Zerline in Daniel Auber's opera Fra Diavolo. Size is 5.25 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

American tenor (1930-2015), performed in operas, musicals and concerts, particularly associated with the New York City Opera. Signed publicity photograph, shown as himself, inscribed with short sentiment. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases on right side, otherwise in excellent condition.
