American pianist (1880-1952) of German ascent, developed as a concert pianist in Europe where he toured extensively, later in America as well where he became a piano educator. Buhlig left recordings and focused later on in contemporary/modern composers. Signed photo postcard, dated in 1924, wrote the date when this photo was taken (1907, at age 27), and "Please God I no longer look like this!" on top of his signature.
