English baritone (1870-1957), one of the greatest singers of the 20th century, who was first known for his performances of Oratorio, following his marriage to the singer Clara Butt, he toured with her throughout the English-speaking world singing repertoire of a more popular type. English composer (1923-2014), conductor, trumpeter, and teacher. Set of two autograph letters in English signed by him, as follows: A. 13th January, 1960. Butterworth writes to the arranger H. Swarenski about an important imminent meeting regarding some financial problems. Size is 7.9 x 9.8 inches, 1 page, folds, creases, dirt spots, in overall very good condition.  B. 19th April 1967. Butterworth writes to the widow of the German music publisher Henri Hinrichsen (1868-1942, partner in Peters edition since 1894), Carla Hinrichsen: “...There seems to be a fair number of inquiries for “An Embassy Suite”, and I wonder if it might be possible to publish it fairly soon?...”. Size is 8 x 10 inches, folds, in overall very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Hungarian composer (1871-1935) and piano teacher, educator, creator of operas and symphonic works.  Larger size photograph with a music quote mounted on a photographer mat, signed by him with a short sentiment, dated in Vienna, 1920.  Total size is 10.25 x 13.3 inches, actual photograph is 6.7 x 8.75 inches, all four corners trimmed, some damages on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

German tenor (1891-1931), signed postcard photograph, shown in role in Adolphe Adam's Le postillon de Lonjumeau, dated in 1927. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Program for a concert featuring the German cellist F. Buxbaum performing Volkmann's Serenade Nr.3 under the baton of Felix Weingartner in Vienna, on January 5, 1913. The program also included music by Weingartner and Schubert. Size is 5.4 x 7.8 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.

Austrian cellist (1869-1948) and principal cello for many years of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Staatsoper.  Photo postcard of Gustav Mahler signed and inscribed by Buxbaum with a short sentiment in Vienna, 1901.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, creases over the top, postal stamps on verso, in very good condition.

Double signed LP album cover, with signatures from Spanish superstar tenor Placido Domingo (b. 1941) and Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballe (b. 1933), dated by her in 1983. LP cover only (no LP), the front was cut from the original sleeve and trimmed to a size of 11.75 x 10.5 inches. In very good condition.
