Russian bass (1873-1938), possessor of a deep and expressive voice who enjoyed an important international career at major opera houses.  Autograph note signed written in French, dated in 1924, sold with a typed English translation, signed as "F. Chaliapin".  Size of original document is 8 x 10.5 inches, with some paper loss and wear on edges, not affecting the text and signature.

Luxury program nicely illustrated for a performance of Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov by Opera Russe on tour at Theatre des Champs Elysees, Paris, during the 1930s, starred by the famous Russian bass, Marie Davidova, Ganna Walska, and Bronislava Nijinska (ballet master).  Size is 9.2 x 11.75 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in very good condition.

American baritone (1884-1966) and actor. Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him to New York record collector Larry Holdridge; ink-stamped on verso by photographer G. Maillard (Kesslere, New York).  Size is 7.8 x 9.8 inches, crease over the top, otherwise in very good condition.  

Group of 4 playbills, 1 sheet (each one is printed on both sides), announcing chamber music concerts. Ensembles include the Amadeus Quartet, the Istomin - Stern - Rose trio, the Bach Aria Group and the Royal Swedish Chamber Orchestra. Various sizes, ranging from 6 x 9 inches to 7 x 11 inches, all in excellent condition.

Fine autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her mounted on cardboard, dated in La Seyne, March 2, 1916, to a gentleman:  “…Je suis encore surmenée à cette maison militaire où je suis présidente et ouù je me suis  oubliée pour fair chanter les hymnes nationaux à nos pauvres mutilés…”. Open size is 10.7 x 8.3 inches, 3 written pages in one folded sheet, folds, creases, printed letterhead, in overall very good condition.
