    American songwriter and film producer (1895-1950), founder of Capitol Records and creator of many movie soundtracks.  Large photograph mounted on cardboard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, plus an autograph music quote from the film "A Kiss in the Dark" (1949).  Photo is blind-stamped on the front by photographer DeBarros Studios, New York.  Total size is 11.5 x 13.8 inches, some silvering and cracks on corners, framing mat stuck attached to verso, in overall good condition.

On the 28th February, Détroyat writes to Saint-Victor: "...Je viens de voir, par hasard, Mr. Harmant et nous avons causé ensemble de ma pièce. (...) Tout d'abord, m'a-t-il dit, le sujet l'effroie. Il pense que mettre en scène aujourd'hui des sentiments qu'ont 80 ans de date est la presque certitude d'un insuccès...".  Different sizes and lengths (for a total of six written pages), in very good condition or better (see scans provided).
