Italian superstar tenor (1890-1957), one of the greatest tenors of all time, often regarded as "The Second Caruso". His personal study score for the opera Zazá (Leoncavallo), signed by him, authenticated by his son Enzo.  Full score for piano and voice, 325 numbered pages and hardcovers, published by Sonzogno, no year.  With Gigli´s signature on the cast page, his son Enzo signed a card and attached it to the back of the front cover, declaring this was his father´s score. Many markings in blue crayon inside (we show one page as example). Size is 9.5 x 12 inches. Some wear on cover and spine, in good condition. This is a very rare item and an important one since it comes from Gigli´s estate.

Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in Italian on the letterhead of the Hotel Gloria, Rio de Janeiro in 1947, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.5 x 8 inches, small creases on edges and small stain on bottom of the first page, otherwise in very good condition.

Amazing, interesting and large collection of contracts with theaters and concert agents, all signed by superstar tenor Beniamino Gigli, between 1926 and 1951. Some 33 contracts plus a few documents, most bearing his signature, signing theaters/agencies include: Teatro Alla Scala (Milan), Teatro San Carlo (Naples, Italy), Terme di Caracalla (Rome), Teatro Adriano (Rome), NBC Artists (New York), Teatro Nacional San Carlos (Lisbon, Portugal), San Francisco Opera, Teatro Reale dell´Opera (Rome), Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Columbia Concerts Corp., R. E. Johnston, Teatro Argentino and Radio Belgrano (Argentina), agency Laurent Mariosa, agent Ricardo Covoes (Lisbon), etc. Varios sizes, from 8 x 10 inches to 8.5 x 11.75 inches. Also in this lot are 5 interesting contracts signed with the Federazione Nazionale Fascista del Lavoratori dello Spettacolo, with the letterhead of this institution, from the period 1940-1943, for opera performances in different Italian theaters (Arena di Verona, Maggio Fiorentino, Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro Sociale in Mantova), one page each, 8 x 11 inches.  All in good condition, see scans - Sold as a collection only, not sold separately.

Camuzzi, signed by the great tenor, showing him in the title role in Giordano?s opera "Andrea Chenier", inscribed. Framed together with a Met Opera program clip for a performance of this opera in 1927, with Gigli as Andrea Chenier. Photo is 3.75 x 5.5 inches viewable, total frame size is 15 x 11.5 inches.

Feldman and Co. in London, dated in April 1952, discussing royalty terms for an upcoming published "Beniamino Gigli album", containing Gigli's printed and hand-written signatures at the bottom, as well as those of company representatives above his. Size is 8.25 x 10.25 inches, slight creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

Large double signed photo, shown as themselves, dated in 1957. Size is 7.5 x 10.25 inches, rare and attractive historical item in excellent condition!

Italian superstar tenor (1890-1957), one of the greatest tenors of all time, often regarded as "the second Caruso". Carbon copy of a typed letter on official letterhead, authentically hand-signed by him at the bottom, dated in Rome in 1944, size is 8 x 9.25 inches. `Also included: typed 2-sided note with New Year's greetings, 5.75 x 8.75 inches, dated in Rome in 1945. Both written in Italian, sold untranslated. Not sold separately. 

Italian superstar tenor (1890-1957), considered one of the greatest voices of the 20th century. Wig used by him for performances of Un Ballo in Maschera (Verdi) at the Opera di Roma, includes a large photo of him wearing this wig as Riccardo, the wig, and a business card printed "Beniamino Gigli" with an inscription on verso by his son Enzo to a collector, dated by Enzo in December 28th, 1957, 4 weeks after his father´s death.  Stored in a box that is 10.25 x 15.75 inches x 1 inch high, photo is 7 x 10.25 inches and is mounted on the inside of the cardboard box. Box originally belonged to something else, all is in very good condition.

Autograph letter signed, written on the stationary of the Baur Au Lac Hotel in Zurich, dated in 1930, written in English and addressed to the Irish soprano Margaret Sheridan (1889-1958) (Rina Gigli was fourteen years old at this time and traveling with her parents). Text is on 2 pages of a 4 page sheet, (each page size is 5.75 x 7.25 inches), in excellent condition.
