Autograph letter in German (untranslated) signed by him, no date, where he addresses the music publisher Härtel, concerning some music scores by Rubinstein, Schubert, and Graedener he needs for upcoming concerts. Autograph letter in German signed by her, dated April 2, 1910, to the composer Georg Schumann (1866-1952), concerning the performance of his opera “Ruth” in Dordrecht :  “...I am pleased to inform you that your work was a great success in Dordrecht; the audience was very enthusiastic and did not stop applauding at the end, even after the first scene of Naomi and Ruth there was a great cheer. Mr. [Johann Eduard] Erdmann asked me to tell you about it when I would see you again, but since I do not know when that will be, I write it to you. I hope you will allow me to sing the part for you, which, although extremely difficult, suits me very well. The preparation was very short (in 2 1⁄2 days I had to sing it with a very swollen throat!), but Mr. E. was very pleased with the replacement for Ms. Strauch! - If you ever have time and I am free, I would be happy if you call me some time for the Ruth...”. Size is 5.2 x 6.7 inches each page, 4 written pages in one folded sheet, embossed letterhead, in very good condition.

New Zealand mountaineer and explorer (1919-2008) who became the first climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. Book "The Conquest of Everest" by John Hunt signed by Edmund Hillary, and three other members of the 1953 expedition to Mount Everest George Lowe, William Hazlett, and James Morris, in the frontend page.   Size is 6 x 8.75 inches, 300 pages, dust jacket, hardcovers, first American edition by E. P. Dutton & Co. (New York), 1954; some wear on the dust jacket, stains on the frontend pages, in overall very good condition.

New Zealand mountaineer, explorer and philanthropist (1919-2008), together with Nepalese mountaineer Tenzing Norgay was the first climber confirmed to have reached the summit of Mount Everest in 1953.  Signed book, part of the series of signed leather-bound editions by The Easton Press, 310 numbered pages, 6.25 x 9.5 inches, hardcovers, gilded edges, in excellent condition. Also included is a small certificate of authenticity signed by Edmund Hillary, dated Jan 21st, 2005, a witness and Roy S. Pfeil from Easton Press (not shown).
