Famous photo of the fire and destruction of the LZ129 Hindenburg Zeppelin (1937), signed by the last survivor of the crew Werner Franz (1922-2014) who was then 14 years old. Famous German General (1847-1934) and later President of the Weimar Republic (1925-1934), who played the unfortunate key role in handling over the power to the Nazi government. Autograph letter signed, dated in Luneburg in 1923, one sheet written on both sides, in German, untranslated. Hindenburg writes to a Mr. Eberhardt about travel plans and a funeral ceremony, expressing that "the chain of the Black Eagle Order, according to statutes, can be worn only for the chapter and funeral of knights of the order. The chain of the Hohenzollern House Order is therefore the highest admissible decoration, with the ribbon of the Black Eagle". Size is 8.75 x 11.25 inches, in excellent condition.

A rare, interesting item with a good story behind, one-of-a-kind autograph, highly collectible for anyone interested in the 2 famous artists and in music.
