Jean-Vital Jammes (known by the stage name Ismaël), was a French baritone (1827-1883) who starred in the world premiere productions of at least thirteen operas including Bizet's Les Pecheurs de Perles and Gounod's Mireille, as well as the revised French language version of Verdi's Macbeth at the Théâtre-Lyrique Impérial du Châtelet) in Paris in 1865.  Unsigned promotional article written in 1875 with an attractive etching of the artist in role on the front page, and containing a biography of him on all 4 pages, written in French and sold untranslated. Size of each page is 6.75 x 10.5 inches, small creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition.

Czech composer, musical theorist, folklorist, publicist and teacher (1854-1928), signature cut, attached to a larger card with a photo of him. Card is attached to a larger card to a total size of 6 x 10.25 inches. Signature cut is 1.5 x 2.75 inches, photo is 3.3 x 5 inches, all in excellent condition.

Czech composer, musical theorist, folklorist, publicist and teacher (1854-1928), original document signed by him in 1882 (at age of only 28). Document corresponds to the teachers seminar for the Organ School in Brunn, and is also signed by other teachers and authorities, including the Institute Director (and Janacek´s father-in-law) Emilian Schulz (1836-1923). Handwritten by another hand, also has signatures on verso, size is 9.4 x 14.8 inches, overall age toning, in very good condition.

Czech-born American stage actress (1829-1904). Album page signed by her mounted with a half-tone photograph of her and dated in Baltimore in February 1873. Total size is 7.6 x 4.8 inches, in very good condition.

French actor, then Secretary General of the Opera Comique in Paris and librettist of several one act musical plays (1862-1910). 1 autograph letter signed, written on the official letterhead of the Opera Comique, dated in 1909, 2 pages, written in French and sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Each page is 4.25 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.  Also included: 1 unsigned photo postcard of him surrounded by various musical paintings, and other images and memorabilia, 4 x 5.5 inches, some small spots outside of the image, otherwise in very good condition, not sold separately. 

Original poster for a Broadway production of the musical Jane Eyre at Brooks Atkinson Theatre, signed by many members of the cast. Size is 14 x 22 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish-Lithuanian violinist and composer (1762-1848), as well as conductor, whose career developed mostly in England and Scotland, but earlier in other parts of Europe. Janiewicz (also spelled Yaniewicz) left 5 violin concertos and other violin pieces. Autograph letter signed, dated by him in Bath, England, in 1822, in English, about music and concerts, mentioning star soprano Angelica Catalani (1780-1849) - Janiewicz conducted concerts with her as soloist. Two pages written on both sides of one sheet 7.25 x 8.75 inches, page 3 is in blank, while page 4 has the addressee, a certain Mr Pearson, solicitor of Nottingham. A lacquered seal was removed from page 4 leaving a hole, otherwise complete and in very good condition. Very rare!
