Hungarian soprano (1867-1957) and celebrated British-American tenor (1884-1958).  2-sided item with 2 distinct vintage photos and signatures (one on each side). On front: photo postcard of the soprano (3.25 x 5.25 inches), shown in role attached to larger sheet of paper (with cardboard backing) containing her signature, signed in Vienna, dated in 1913.  On verso: signed photo of the tenor shown as himself, also signed in Vienna in 1913. Photo size is 5 x 7 inches, with cardboard backing, total item size is 7.5 x 9.25 inches.  Slight wear on Piccaver item, otherwise both are in excellent condition.

Patricia Kopatchinskaja was born in Moldova to musician parents. She studied composition and violin in Vienna and Bern. 2000 she won the international Szeryng-Competition in Mexico and in 2002 the prestigious International Credit Suisse Group Young Artist Award. Photo Size 12 x 8.25 inches.

This is a 6.5 x 8.75 inch photo mounted onto a mat, a small part of the inscripition is on the photo itself, the remainder is on the bottom of the mat. Total item size is 9.5 x 12.25 inches, slight creases on the edges of the mat, otherwise in excellent condition.

Letter refers to several personal matters including his health, and mentions a recording of his violin concerto by Heifetz. One page, 5.5 x 8.5 inches, has folds, in very good condition. In German, a translation in to English is included (see scan).

Letter's size is 5.5 x 4 inches, photo's size is 2.6 x 4.4 inches (visible window size), for a total size of 12.5 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Autograph letter signed, dated in Hollywood in 1955, written in English, about music matters, mentioning some of his operas. One page written on both sides, signature is on verso. Autograph music quote from his highly successful opera "Die Tote Stadt", which he composed in 1920 at age 23.  Music quote is matted with a nice photo postcard of the composer blind stamped on front by photographer W. Ova, Vienna. Korngold writes a few notes and adds "Die Tote Stadt" below. Sizes are 12 x 8.75 inches (total mat size), 4 x 2 inches for the music quote (visible window size) and 3 x 4.75 inches for the photo (visible window size). 

Austrian composer (1897-1957), a prodigy child, Korngold came to America in 1934 to become one of the most influential film score composers in Hollywood´s history. Autograph music quote with 4 bars from his opera "Die Tote Stadt", his most famous work, on a card, signed and dated by him in Vienna, 1927. World premiered in 1920 simultaneously in two German theaters (Hamburg and Cologne), Die Tote Stadt - the creation of a 23-year old composer - became an instant success. Size is 5.25 x 3 inches, also included is an unsigned photo postcard of Korngold from around that time, all in very good condition.

Program for a performance of the first run of his opera "Das Wunder der Heliane" in Vienna, October 29, 1927 (world premiered on October 7 that same year) conducted by himself. Size is 5.75 x 7.8 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.

Photo is also handwritten and signed in German on verso, dated in Vienna, 1950. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, jagged/serrated borders (not seen in the scan), in excellent condition. Rare, small size program for a party with the Vienna Philharmonic, held on March 4th, 1924, boldly signed in full by Erich Wolfgang Korngold on an inside page. Mini-booklet has 12 pages with pictures of several famous conductors of the Vienna Philharmonic, including Gustav Mahler, Otto Nikolai (who was the first conductor), Hans Richter, Richard Strauss, Franz Schalk and Felix Weingartner. Size is 3.4 x 4.3 inches, golden threads to wrap, hard covers, in excellent condition. Very rare.
