Italian costume designer (1820-1905) who worked for the ballet at Teatro La Scala. Beautiful set of 5 original handmade drawings of costumes for ballet dancers in color, two of them signed by him, two of them ink-stamped with his name. Sizes are 8.8 x 13.25 inches (3), 6.3 x 12.4 inches (1), and 6.5 x 10.75 inches (1), some stains in very good condition or better. SOLD ONLY AS A LOT, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment, shown in the TV series "Love of Life" aired between 1955 and 1959.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, ink markings on verso, rust stain on the front over the top, in good condition.

Program for a performance of the classical piano duo popularly known as Bartlett and Robertson of works by Arensky, Debussy, Liszt, and others, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, in Pasadena, California, on April 9th, 1946, signed by both artists on the front cover.  Size is 6 x 9 inches, full program with all pages and covers, some hand-writing inside, otherwise in very good condition.

Program for a performance of works by Beethoven and Schubert at The Town Hall, New York, on November 3, 1940, by the couple Bartok, signed by them on the front cover.  Size is 5.9 x 8.9 inches,14 pages plus covers, some stains, central fold, in overall very good condition.

Hungarian composer and pianist (1881-1945), one of the most important composers of the 20th century. Long autograph letter (sold with translation) signed by him dated July 1, 1933, and addressed to the Hungarian violinist Stefi Geyer to whom Bartok dedicated his first violin concerto and to whom he was apparently in love, commenting about his impressions of the city of Piora, sharing some interesting information about places and activities. Four written pages in two separate sheets of different size (7.5 x 11.5 inches and  7.5 x 5.75 inches), folds, in overall very good condition.
