Croatian-born soprano (1906-1989), one of the greatest interpreters of Verdi at the Metropolitan Opera. Signed program from a 1944 New York Madison Square Garden concert with the NBC and Philharmonic Symphony Orchestras conducted by Arturo Toscanini, a program to benefit the Red Cross war relief fund, and that also featured Leonard Warren, Jan Peerce, Nan Merriman, Nicola Moscona and the All-city High School Chorus led by Peter J. Wilhousky (Milanov's is the only signature, contained on the program page). Full program book, with all pages and covers containing photos and articles as well as the full text of Hymn of the Nations and some of the score. Size is 9 x 12 inches, slight tears in the binding, but in otherwise very good condition.

Autograph letter signed by him, recommending someone, with his address as letterhead, dated in Aix en Provence, December 1939. In French, sold untranslated. Size is 8.2 x 10.5 inches, has folds, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a half-tone photo of the composer at work, 4.75 x 7 inches, perfect to frame with this autograph letter if desired.
