American Big Band composer (1904-1944), trombonist, arranger, and bandleader. Typed letter signed by him, with letterhead of the 2nd Army Air Forces Training Command Radio Unit, where he worked. Miller is requesting comments from a Radio manager, months before his death (letter is dated on March 16th, 1944, he died in December of that year). One page, 8.1 x 10.5 inches, folds, in very good condition. Also included is an envelope with letterhead from the War Department.  Size is 9.4 x 4.1 inches, used to send this typed letter, in very good condition. INCLUDED as well is a certificate of authenticity issued by JSA.

Polish bass (1863-1929), composer, and music critic; creator of the role of Alvise in the third version of Ponchielli's "La Gioconda". Autograph letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Lisbon, March 17, 1920, to an impresario: “…Ieri ho ricevuto la tua cara lettera con inclusi i contratti, per quale ti ringrazio…”. Size is 5.4 x 8.2 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), overall age toning, creases and folds, in very good condition.

Italian soprano castrato (1737-1802), composer, and music teacher of the 18th century who is best remembered for his performances in the operas of C.W. Gluck. His original manuscript for his work "La Pazienza di Rinaldo". Size is 11.1 x 8.8 inches, 20 pages in total, minor stains, age-toning, and creases, in overall excellent condition. Autographs of Castrati are extremely rare to find!

Carl Millöcker conducts his Jungfrau von Belleville, Vienna - Theater an der Wien 1882. Carl Millöcker, Jungfrau von Belleville. Vienna - Theater an der Wien, November 25 1882 (less than a month after the world premiere of this operetta). As usual in the 19th century opera programs, conductor´s name is not mentioned. Carl Millöcker was chief conductor of Theater an der Wien in that period, wrote several works for this theater and conducted his own works there. One page, 7.25 x 9 inches, very good condition.
