Italian soprano (1889-1936) who enjoyed an international career during the early 20th century. Lot of 18 beautiful vintage unsigned photographs of the soprano, most of them shown in role. Size is 8 x 10 inches approximately each one, in excellent condition. SOLD ONLY AS A LOT, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Full program for a performance of this opera by Umberto Giordano, August 7th, 1919, with star soprano Claudia Muzio in the title role. This was the first performance in Argentina and in South America of this opera, Tulio Serafin conducted. Size is 7 x 10.5 inches, loose covers, otherwise in good condition.

Fine playbill advertising the performance of Verdi's opera "Aida" at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, on June 29, 1924, starring Claudia Muzio and Tancredi Pasero under the baton of Vincenzo Bellezza, and Mario Sammarco as scene director.  Size is 6.9 x 13.75 inches, central fold, in very good condition.

Gorgeous photograph of the soprano shown as Cecilia (a role she created in the world premiere in 1934 of the opera) and the opera's composer, signed by both the singer and the composer on the front.  Size is 7 x 4.7 inches, minor stains, in very good condition. A very rare and highly desirable Claudia Muzio's collectible.

Small ink stain on top right not affecting the image or signature with some bending on edges but otherwise in excellent condition. Rare!

Group of 13 programs for different opera performances at Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, with star soprano Claudia Muzio in the main soprano role, between 1919 and 1934. Full programs with all pages and covers, various sizes but most being 6.25 x 9 inches, some in larger format of 7 x 10.4 inches, all in very good condition.

Italian composer and conductor (1821-1890), lifelong friend and only student of Giuseppe Verdi. Muzio toured extensively as a conductor, giving first performances of several Verdi operas in France and in the USA. In the early 1870s, Muzio became the conductor of the Theatre Italien in Paris, which was experiencing financial difficulties (referred in the present letter) that led to its closure later in the decade. Autograph letter to an unidentified impresario (probably the director of the Theatre Italien in Paris, signed by him. Muzio writes in length about an upcoming tour featuring Verdi´s Messa da Requiem, expresses concern about an apparent lack of organization, rehearsal time, and choristers of the tour´s inception in Brussels. He relays Mr and Mrs Verdi´s recommendations about the Italian Theatre in Paris, a performance of the Requiem in Versailles, and a costume designer. In French, sold with a transcription and a translation, dated in Milan in 1875. Six pages in folio format, each one is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, in very good condition.

American bass of Russian descent (1934-2012), also son of celebrated Russian author Vladimir Nabokov, later served as his literary executor and translator. Signed photograph, shown as Timur in Puccini's Turandot, signed on front with additional text on verso. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

American actor (1930-2017), singer, and comedian, widely known for his signature character Gomer Pyle. Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown in one of his films. Size is 7.9 x 9.8 inches, in excellent condition.

German tenor (1825-1902), famous in his time, created the role of Walther von Stolzing in the world premiere of Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg in 1868, and Froh in the world premiere of Das Rheingold in 1869. Autograph music quote with 4 bars from a famous piece from Lohengrin ("Nun sei bedankt, mein lieber Schwan!..."), signed by him and dated in Mainz, 1870, on a single piece of paper with his letterhead. Size is 8 x 7 inches, minor damage on the top left and right corners, has folds, otherwise in excellent condition. Rare.

German tenor (1825-1902), famous in his time, created the role of Walther von Stolzing in the world premiere of Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg in 1868, and Froh in the world premiere of Wagner's Das Rheingold in 1869. Unsigned mini-cabinet photo, shown as himself. Size is 2.4 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition. 

German tenor (1835-1902), renowned for his performances of Wagnerian roles. Vintage carte-de-visite (CDV) of the tenor by photographer T. Eulenstein (Leipzig). Size is 2.4 x 4 inches, some spotted rust, in very good condition.

Hungarian violinist (1859-1930), who was also composer of violin music. Nachez had an important inter career and resided in London. Signed photo postcard, dated in 1912. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, silvering around borders, otherwise in very good condition.
