Italian bass (1909-1951), a second child of a dialect poet, who was also a music enthusiast, and a mother of noble birth. Large photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown in role, dated in Parma, 1941; blind-stamped by photographer Montacchini, Parma. Size is 7 x 9.4 inches, some silvering over the top and bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian soprano, signed photograph, shown in title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, inscribed. 4 x 6 inch photo mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 7 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Book signed by the Chilean poet and Nobel Prize of Literature winner, "Discursos" ("Speeches"), is a compilation of his and Nicanor Parra`s speeches when joining the Faculty of Philosophy and Education in Santiago, Chile. Small edition mini-book of 91 pages, first edition with soft covers, 5.25 x 7.25 inches.  Boldly signed by Pablo Neruda, who dated his autograph in Isla Negra (a beach town where he lived) in 1963. Light rust toning, in very good condition.

Chilean poet, diplomat and politician (1904-1973), winner of the 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature. Signed book "Tercera Residencia", inscribed to someone thanking her visit and books, dated in Isla Negra (Chile) in 1964, with a small drawing by him.  Tercera Residencia is a book of poetry, 112 pages, this is the 2nd edition (1951), Editorial Losada, Buenos Aires, soft covers, 6 x 8 inches. Neruda signs it on the first page. Original dust jacket and book are both in excellent condition. See scans of autograph page, front cover and title page.

Moravian virtuoso violinist (1838-1911), chamber musician, and teacher. Gorgeous cabinet photograph signed by her, shown with her instrument. Photo by A. Bassano, London; ink writing by another hand on verso. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition.

Moravian violinist (1838-1911), one of the first women to become a famous violinist. Signed carte-de-viste, shown young siting with a fun on her hand. Size is 2.4 x 4.25 inches, mounting damage on verso, but front is in excellent condition.

Mexican poet (1870-1919), journalist, and educator, considered one of the most important of the XIX century in Mexico, and also an ambassador of Mexico in Argentina and Uruguay. Set of 2 typed letters in Spanish (sold untranslated) signed by him weeks before his decease and addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Law Estanislao Zeballos in Buenos Aires requesting the admission of his nephew. The first letter has two sheets (dated April 17, 1919), and the second one (dated May 12, 1919) is only 1 sheet. Each page is 8.25 x 11.25 inches, both in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a unsigned letter referred to in the second letter.

American model and actress (1884-1967), best-known for her involvement in the deadly love triangle that led to the murder of Stanford White. Rare black-and-white photograph of the model by photographer De Lucie; signed and inscribed by the model on verso, dated 1926.  The photo has a printed signature of the model and the legend "Cafe Martin" on the front. Size is 7.4 x 9.75 inches, creases on the front and a small repaired crack over the left border (not affecting signature), in very good condition. Autographs by Nesbit are rare and highly sought-after.

Inscribed. Solidly attached to attractive cardboard backing. Photo size is 3 x 5.6 inches, total item is 5.6 x 9.1 inches, beautifully preserved in excellent condition.

Larger signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed, 6 x 8.5 inch photo mounted on cardboard, total item size is 9.5 x 13 inches. some cuts and creases on the sides of the cardboard, not affecting the photo, otherwise in very good condition.

Some cracks and creases over the right border, not affecting the signature or her image, otherwise in very good condition.

Open size is 10.4 x 8.1 inches, 2 written pages in one folded sheet, tape residues over the top, in overall very good condition. Original envelope is INCLUDED.

Alsatian composer (1841-1890) who worked mainly in Leipzig, whose most important work was the opera "Der Trumpeter von Säckingen". 3-bar autograph music quote from his opera "Der Trumpeter von Säckingen" (1884) signed and inscribed by him to Mr. Josef Häfliger. Size is 7.3 x 3.3 inches, overall rust stains, in overall very good condition.

German composer (1841-1890), author of operas such as Der Trumpeter von Säkkingen (1884). Autograph music quote with four bars from his opera Der Rattenfänger von Hamelin, inscribed and dated in Leipzig, 1883. Size is 8 x 6 inches, central fold, in very good condition. Rare!

Alsatian composer (1841-1890) who worked mainly in Leipzig, whose most important work was the opera "Der Trumpeter von Säckingen". Beautiful cabinet photograph of the composer by Georg Michel (Strassbourg), signed and inscribed with a long sentiment by the composer, with a music quote on its verso.  Nessler wrote 3 bars from the second act of his opera "Der Trumpeter von Säckingen".  Size is 4.2 x 6.5 inches, in wonderful condition.

Austrian singer, actor, and playwright (1801-1862), who was very important in his time. Beautiful album with cloth covers with his name printed on the front cover (with metal lock and missing clutch), containing 13 unsigned photographs of the actor, published in Vienna by Neumann.  Size is 4.1 x 5.5 inches, signs of wear and stains on the cover, content in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an announcement of his death notice (original dated May 25th, 1862) plus two extra CDVs (not part of the album) by photographers Hermann Klee, Vienna & L. Angerer, Vienna.  CDVs' sizes are 2.5 x 4 inches each one, in very good condition.  Announcement's size is 10.5 x 8.25 inches, some folds and stains, in good condition (sold untranslated).
