Ballet dancer and later head of the Ballet School at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts (MCPA) in Halifax, Canada. Trained in the Russian School of Classical Ballet, he had an extensive career as a dancer, including with the Carl Roza opera company as well as a period in London with the Ballet of the Royal Opera Company and then with Sadler’s-Wells Company.  Signed photograph, shown most likely in role, signed as "David" in 1929. American ballet dancer, choreographer and director (b.1939). He has been the director and chief choreographer of Hamburg Ballet since 1973, later he became the director of the Hamburg State Opera.
