Famous Spanish flamenco dancer and singer (1918-1963), one of the superstars of flamenco dancing. Signed photo, shown in performance, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, mounted on slightly larger cardboard, in excellent condition.

Fabulous autograph book, with 12 signatures on the frontend and title pages by some of the most important figures in the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo company and Jack Anderson, the book´s author. Signatures include Alexandra Danilova, Michel Katcharoff, Anne Barlow, Vida Brown Olinick, Deni Lamont, Dorothy Lister, Leon Danielian, Anna Scarpova Youskevitch, Irina Pabst, Nora White -members of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo; and Jack Anderson (dance critic and the author).  Published by Dance Horizons, New York, 1981, 333 numbered pages with some illustrations inside, dust jacket, 6.25 x 9.25 inches, very minor wear, in very good condition.

Founded by René Blum in 1938, the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo was one of the leading ballet companies following the famous original ballet company by Diaghilev, who had passed away in 1927.  Booklet for their ballet season 1957-58, signed by many members of the company, including: director Sergei J. Denham, dancers Alan Howard, Gertrude Tyven, Eugene Slavin, Deni Lamont, Kenneth Gillespie, Meredith Baylis (to whom this book belonged to), Rochelle Zide, Sally Seven, Eleanor D´Antuono, Margery Beddow, Josephine Jeffers, Viola Crucil, Gwenn Barker, Andrea Vodehnal, Paula Tennyson, Susan May, June Wilson, Raven Wilkinson, Roy Harsh, Howard White, Wakefield Poole, Perry Brunson, James Brusock, James Capp, Richard Wagner, Aleck Zybine, orchestra conductor Ivan Boutnikoff, Michel Katcharoff, Michael Subotin, Sophie Pourmel, and more.  Size is 8.75 x 11.75 inches, 48 pages with many photographs, some wear on soft covers, in very good condition. Latvian-born Russian-American dancer (b.1948), choreographer, and actor; considered the preeminent male classical dancer of the 1970s and 1980s. Double-signed poster announcing the world premiere of Eliot Feld´s ballet "Variations on America" (1977). Size is 23.5 x 35 inches, mounted on semi-soft styrofoam backing (can not be rolled or folded), in excellent condition.  

Russian-born opera and ballet stage designer and painter (1899-1972), associated with the Metropolitan Opera of New York for some productions. Autograph letter signed as "E.B." and dated in Los Angeles, 1949. Six pages, each page is 7.25 x 10.5 inches, folds, in very good condition.

Long autograph letter signed, to an unidentified friend, talking about his work in New York, an opera production he is creating for the Metropolitan Opera, and other business. Five pages written in 3 sheets, each one is 8.4 x 11.25 inches, tear over the top, otherwise in very good condition.

American dancer (1957-1987), a leading figure at the American Ballet Theater. Bissell was at the top of his fame when he died of a drug overdose at age 30. Large signed promo photo, affixed to hard cardboard, inscribed. Size is 8.75 x 12 inches, in excellent condition. Rare!

Italian ballet dancer (1817-1909). Engagement contract in French to dance at Her Majesty's Theater (London) for the 1847/48 Season, signed by the ballerina on verso, dated August 26, 1846, and by his husband and choreographer Arthur Saint-Leon. Size is 7.3 x 8.9 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet, blind-stamped by the weather over the upper-left corner, in very good condition. Translation is provided.

Poster announcing the first Dancers´ Choice Benefit gala (June 27th, 2008) for the Dancers Emergency Fund - a benefit gala that has been taking yearly since then.  Poster has 60 signatures of artists, including Aaron Severini, creator of the music for the ballet Flit of Fury/The Monarch, that was world premiered that night, and some dancers of the cast as well. Size is 18 x 24 inches, in excellent condition, will ship rolled inside a tube.

Ukrainian-American dancer (b.1973), a former principal dancer with the American Ballet Theater in New York, retired since 2013, currently working as an actress. Signed pair of pointe shoes, dated in 2001, used in performance. Approx. 3 x 8.5 inches, in good condition.

Austrian ballerina (1810-1884) who introduced theatricalized folk dance into ballet; celebrated for her spirited, spectacular dancing and technique. Autograph note in German signed by her, dated January 10, 1889 (original envelope and translation included). Size is 3.9 x 6.25 inches, folds, in excellent condition; the envelope is 4.5 x 1.9 inches. ALSO INCLUDED is a color print of her shown in the Cracovian dance from "La Gypsy". Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian ballerina (1810-1884) who introduced theatricalized folk dance into ballet; celebrated for her spirited, spectacular dancing and technique. 1-page autograph note in German signed by her (no date). Size is 5.6 x 4.5 inches, central fold, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a black-and-white lithograph of her published by David Bogue, London, 1844. Size is 7.2 x 10.5 inches, in very good condition.

Russian Prima Ballerina and actress (b.1924), one of the most famous in her time, now retired. Signed single pointe shoe, used in performance, provided with a printed card offering her compliments.  Size is 8.5 x 3 inches approximately.

American ballerina (b.1945), former star of the New York City Ballet and founder of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, United States. Signed pointe shoe, approx. 8.5 x 3 inches wide in the widest area, sole stamped by manufacturer Freed of London. Used in performance, in very good condition.

British ballet dancer (1919-1991), considered by many one of the greatest dancers of the 20th century. Signed book "Fonteyn - The Making of a Legend", a book by Keith Money. Fonteyn signed and inscribed this book on the title page, opposite to a full-page photograph of her. This is a larger size book mostly with photographs from her life, including captions and some text, first US edition by Reynal and Co., New York, 1974, a year after the first UK edition. A total of 318 numbered pages, hardcovers, dust jacket, 10.25 x 12.5 inches, all in excellent condition.

American dancer and actress (1862-1928) who was a pioneer of both modern dance and theatrical lighting techniques. Autograph letter signed with Paris Hotel letterhead, written in French (sold untranslated). Total size is 10.5 x 6.9 inches, folds, repaired cracks and tape stains at the bottom of the letter, not affecting signature.  Very rare!

Russian-American ballet dancer and actor (1949-1995), his 1979 defection caused a diplomatic incident between the US and the former Soviet Union. Godunov was the principal dancer at the ABT, and later became a star in a few Hollywood films. Fantastic larger size photograph mounted on hard cardboard signed by him, shown in performance (probably in "Spartacus" by Aram Kachaturian).  Total size is 16 x 20 inches, photograph is 10.75 x 14 inches, in excellent condition.

American prima ballerina (b.1946), was the principal dancer at the American Ballet company. Currently retired as a dancer, Gregory works staging classical ballets, coaching and giving master classes. Pair of signed pointe shoes, both are signed, one is inscribed, approx. 3 x 8.5 inches, in good condition.

British dancer (b.1927), was the first Western guest artist to dance at the Bolshoi Ballet in 1957 and the Peking Ballet and Shanghai Company. Also had a great career as instructor and as Artistic Director of The London Festival Ballet. Signed single pointe shoe, inscribed, with a short sentiment, dated by her in March 1959, was used in performance. Approx. 3 x 8.75 inches, in good condition.

Russian-born French dance journalist and writer (1887-1933). Book "Marie Taglioni (1804-1884), signed on the first blank page by Levinson, and inscribed to famous Austrian novelist, playwright, journalist and biographer Stefan Zweig (1881-1942). Published by Librairie Felix Alcan, Paris, 1929, one of only 100 that were printed on paper Lafuma pure thread. Book was rebound with new hard covers, of which the spine is missing, original covers are inside. A total of 141 numbered pages, a few illustrations, 5.75 x 8.2 inches, in very good condition.

French ballet dancer and choreographer (1905-1986) of Ukrainian origin, one of the greatest ballet male dancers of the 20th century.  Signed booklet/small book, "Le Manifeste du Choregraphe" (The Choreographer´s Manifest), 40 pages, in French, signed and inscribed by Lifar on the first page, dated by him in Paris in 1935. Size is 5.5 x 7.5 inches, some damage on binding, otherwise in very good condition.

Russian prima ballerina and choreographer (b.1940) and English ballet dancer and choreographer (1904-1983). Fine photograph signed by them and other Russian dancers such as Valentina Ganibalova (b.1948) and two more dancers named Bolshova and Kometeva. Size is 10 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

Russian Prima Ballerina (b.1940), also choreographer, whose performances were considered standards of artistry and aristocracy of dance and marked her as the finest ballerina of her generation in the West.  Signed single pointe shoe, worn in performance, signature is in Russian. Approx. 3 x 8.5 inches, in very good condition.

Fabulous illustrated book with 96 tipped-in b&w photos, this copy belonged to American dancer Meredith Baylis, who signed on the frontend page and dated in 1949, and several important dancers signed and inscribed their autographs to her on their corresponding photos. Published by Geoffrey Bles, London, first edition, 1939. Included in the book are photos signed by Leonid Massine, Tatiana Riabouchinska, David Lichine, Frederick Franklin, Mischa Panaieff and Igor Yousskevitch. Size is 10.25 x 12.75, two-tone cloth hardcovers, tape marks on frontend page, otherwise in very good condition. See some photographs of the inside.

Russian dancer and choreographer (1896-1979), signed book "To The Ballet", first edition, 1935, also signed by author and ballet expert Irving Deakin (English, 1895-1959), who dated his signature in Chicago, 1936. Signatures are on first page, 178 pages, 4.75 x 7.5 inches, hard covers, overall age toning, in overall very good condition.  

American ballet dancer (b.1984), danced for American Ballet Theater between 1982 and 2005, first American to win a gold medal at the Moscow International Ballet Competition (1981). Pair of signed ballet shoes, used in performance, approx. 3 x 8.5 inches, in good condition.

Puerto Rican actress, dancer and singer (b.1931), one of the very few artists to win all 4 most important American entertainment awards (Osca, Toni, Grammy and Emmy awards). Signed music boxes, resembling pointe shoes, both soles are signed, in working condition. Each one is 2.25 x 7.5 inches, a bit smaller than a normal size pointe shoe, age toning, in good condition. 

American ballerina (b.1959), former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, retired in 2007 after 33 years. Signed pair of pointe shoes, used in performance, both are signed. Approx. size is 3.5 x 8.75 inches, in good condition.

Biography of the great Russian dancer, written by his wife Romola, who signed on the front end page. First edition, ninth printing, hardcovers, in English, contains some photos. Size is 6.5 x 9.5 inches, 448 pages, light age toning, in very good condition, dust jacket in good condition.

Ballet by Jerome Robbins with music by Robert Prince (world-premiered in 1958, while the NYC Ballet premiere was in 2005), a very successful ballet that was taken to a film in 2010.  This is the poster for the 2010 film, with 18 signatures by most of the cast, including executive producer Ellen Bar. Size is 14.25 x 22 inches, in excellent condition.

Nice color half-tone photograph, shown in Bejart´s 1981 production of "Leda and the Swan", Paris, a ballet based on a classical story by Irish poet W.B. Yeats. Photograph is mounted on a fine paper, boldly signed by Plisetskaya below in black ink, in Cyrillic characters. Verso has printed poetry by W.B. Yeats, in 3 languages, from the work this ballet is based on. Size is 9.8 x 13.8 inches, actual photograph is 8 x 10.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Yeats.  Photograph is mounted on a fine paper, boldly signed by Plisetskaya below in black ink.  Poetry by W.B. Yeats, in 3 languages, from the work this ballet is based on is printed on verso. Size is 9.8 x 13.8 inches, actual photograph is 8.25 x 10.7 inches, in excellent condition.

Russian dancer (1883-1960), actress, art patron, and Belle Époque figure, who performed with Diaghilev's Ballets Russes from 1909 to 1911. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by the dancer (no year), with the letterhead with her address in Paris. Size is 7.75 x 9.8 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet, folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

Set of 2 volumes, published by John Henry Nash, San Francisco, 1920. Original publisher´s olive green boards with a printed label on the spines. Signed by both Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn below the limitation statement for each volume (350 copies were made and signed by both). Printed in Italian paper, volume 1 has only text, while volume 2 has only illustrations, mostly b&w plates, some color, of St. Denis in various dancing roles in her career.  Volume I is also signed by Ruth St. Denis on the frontend page, inscribed to Hal Marm, with a short sentiment (a total of 3 signatures by her on these 2 volumes). Size is 10 x 13.25 inches, water damage on covers and the first pages, minor, spotter rust, in very good condition.

Beautiful set of 2 photographs shown in performance signed by both artists, inscribed; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Annemarie Heinrich, Buenos Aires. Size is 4.5 x 6.8 inches, in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

American ballet dancer and actress (b.1952), Single signed ballet shoe, inscribed with a short sentiment ("Peace and Happiness to all"), dated in 1977, worn in performance.  Size is 8.5 x 3 inches approximately, in very good condition.     

Canadian prima ballerina (b.1946), was the principal dancer of the National Ballet of Canada, currently producer, director, and filmmaker. Signed single pointe shoe, inscribed, used in performance.  Size is 8.5 x 3 inches approximately.

Star Russian ballet dancer (1910-1998), considered one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century. Signed photograph shown in a performance of "Giselle" by Adolph Adam in New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Book by Arnold L. Haskell, published in 1943 by Adam & Charles Black, with multiple signatures of ballet dancers from the company. A total of 10 signatures, all in the frontend page and opposite to the back of the front cover.  Signers are (top to bottom): Ninette de Valois (who wrote a short introduction to this book), Margot Fonteyn, Leslie Edwards, Joy Newton, Margaret Dale, Beryl Grey, Robert Helpmann, Julia Farron, Alexis Rassine and Celia Franca. A total of 96 numbered pages, includes some photographs in black and white, 5.6 x 8.6 inches, dustjacket and hardcovers. The dustjacket is in poor condition, book is in very good condition.
